I really like these curtains. The color is beautiful and matches my hardwood trim perfectly. They have a soft velvet texture that feels really nice and give the room a rich look. They’re heavy and well-made, and I do think they’re worth the price. As for blocking light, they do a pretty good job in my room, but I wouldn’t say they’re full blackout. Some light still comes through, especially around the edges. The thickness is decent, though I expected them to be a little heavier. They cover the wall and the room feels great, softer light and quieter feel. They are a backdrop for videoconferencing and depositions, the dark grey color is perfect. Super high quality, luxury feel, doesn’t have a liner but it is thick and you can see slight brightness beneath the curtain during the day but it still substantially blocks light and heat. Not to mention beautiful color and heavy feel.

Not all velvet is created equal, I’m really happy with the quality of this fabric though! It is a bit sheer but I like my room to look like a cave. We live in the northern hemisphere so depending on the time of year there is a lot of light coming into a bedroom. While I like my giant windows I also like to sleep in dark. Reading the reviews I knew these let a lot of light through. So I just layered another blackout curtain behind these and it’s perfect! The lush look I love on the front and the blocking of light behind! All in all very happy! I will say they do hold on to wrinkles from the packaging. They have been up for about 3 weeks and the wrinkles haven’t relaxed out of them. So I’m probably going to have to steam them at some point. But really to get such great quality at such a nice price, worth it. ... show more

Just as I'd hoped, the "Burnt Orange" color is actually a perfect Dark Terracotta. The fabric isn't as heavy as I want, but it's soft and the panels lay nicely. My window faces East and I'd say they block approximately 65-70% of the light which works fine for the designated space.
