This 2‑panel set of window panels often comes 38"W or 42"W or 52"W each. For a full look, choose total curtain width 1.5–2 times wider than your window width. What if I still see light at the top or sides? Mount the rod 4–6" above the frame and extend 3–6" past each side. My 20 year mini blinds finally gave up and I found myself without curtains for my bedroom. I purchased them as a temporary window cover and a really long tension rod. In all honesty, I love them so much I may keep them up. I purchased the white/silver - it's really a light beige with silver lines and dots. They have a white felt like back which is supposed to be the "blackout" part - but if you're looking for a total block of all light - these aren't it. A very faint amount of light does come through. For me, that is actually perfect. I don't want a full block of light. The silver metallic touches are subtle and very pretty - reflecting light very softly - which to me, just adds to the elegance in my opinion. The loops are a silver metal and easily slipped onto the extra, extra long tension rod I purchased. Because the loops are metal, they slide really easily along the tension rod. If I could change ONE thing- I wish the metal loops were not quite as shiny as they are - more a brushed nickel look. The shiny silver metal is the only thing I don't love love - but not enough for me to change my mind on the purchase. I love the look so much that I really think I will keep them even after my mini blinds (4-6 weeks out!) are installed. In fact, I'm thinking about purchasing 2 more sets for the living and dining area. I tossed them in the dryer on extra low for about 5 minutes and that smoothed out the slight wrinkles right out. The material seems to resist wrinkles over all. I just need a proper curtain rod and it will be a very lovely mini blind window cover. Update: I STILL love these curtains 4 years later. I bought blue and beige sets 4.5 years ago and just now placed a replacement order. This time I bought the greyish white and really like how they brighten my room. So here's what I've learned about these since first buying years ago, and why I bought them again. 1.) They are very good at blocking light. They're not 100%, but I'd say they're about 85% and that's really good. 2.) They are thick curtains. Not cheap, not really lightweight, good quality. 3.) They resisted sun fading for about a year. I have them in a huge window where the sun shines on them for between 2-6 hours a day so they did take a beating in the summers. That's why I opted for ALL light colors this time because my lighter curtains haven't been effected. If they aren't in a window receiving much light, they'd last longer. 4.) The design resisted fading for probably 2 years. I have cats who are in and out of the windows which means they collect a lot of hair. So I wash them every 4-6 weeks. That'd a lot of washing and these held up well. After over 4 years, the designs are probably 50% faded. 5.) The grommets are good quality and don't falter. It's been over 4 years, with 50 washes and they're not coming undone or changing colors. 6.) The price has stayed nearly the same. I'm elated to spread the word that this company is NOT price gouging like many others. 7.) Nothing has changed. The curtains are exactly the same as wheb I bought them years ago. It's kind of rare anymore for things to not change or get cheapened. That's a lot of reasons to love these. I know I do! And if we need replacements every 4-5 years, I'm perfectly content staying with this brand. Please don't change a thing! I'm completely in love with these gorgeous curtains! They're so unique and look very pricey. Every time I look at these curtains I'm so happy I bought them. I spent forever trying to find nice curtains that wouldn't break the bank and these are a dream! They are very effective blackout curtains. You cannot tell any lights are on in my living room from the outside. In the mornings they block all sun. These are worth every penny and I plan on buying more soon. ... show more

I bought a set of blackout curtains for my bedroom (purple with silver lines) so I could sleep a bit later. A couple weeks later, I ordered 2 more pair for my house (red with silver lines, and cream with silver "raindrops"). I suffer from migraines and sometimes, your house just needs to be DARK. so I'm writing one review and posting it on all 3 products so you can get a compare-and-contrast. ---SIZING--- I found that all 3 sets had a nice variety of sizes to fit the window. I like that all 3 sets came in a pair. I have a bay window in front, and the cream curtains span the distance since there are two. ---DESIGN--- I like the swirly lines. they add a little bling without being too obnoxious. in real life, they look a bit like Christmas tree tinsel. the "raindrops" don't really look like raindrops; they do look a bit odd, but I still really like them. it's a bit understated elegance. ---COLOR--- the purple and cream are really close to what shows up on my monitor (your monitor may vary.) the purple is deep, rich eggplant. and the cream is a light off-white. the red is a bit brighter / lighter. instead of tipping towards burgandy, it's closer to a true, hot red. ---GROMMETS--- I'm used to grommets on curtains. they remind me of shower curtains. I'm a fan of the style. I will say that some light gets in on the top. if you need complete black, you might need some kind of shield or valance...or to get a style that doesn't have grommets. ---BLACKOUT--- the manufacturer is pretty upfront about effiacy: the darker the color, the better the blackout. I found that to be true. the purple are the darkest, followed by the red, with the cream in a distant third. that said, they're cream-colored curtains and still blocking probably 65-70% of the light! again, if you need full dark, definitely go with a dark, rich color. the purple in my bedroom can convince anyone it's midnight at noon. ---CONSTRUCTION--- the material on all 3 sets can only be described as luxurious. it's so bloody soft!! the stitching is solid and the fabrics feel well-made. they're all heavy and feel durable. I believe I will be using these curtains for many, many years. ---OVERALL--- I have to say, I never saw myself as a person who'd put curtains in my dining room and living room. when I bought my house, they came with blinds, and for 6 years, blinds have been fine. now that I have these, I will never go back. they're wonderful. I love how rich the feel is in the rooms with them, I love using them when I don't feel well to manage light, and I really enjoy how pretty they are hanging up. get some; you'll be glad you did. ... show more

Love these. We have a cat who tore up so many woven curtains that I had just given up but I saw these and thought heck, one more go. We have had the grey 52"x84" in our bedroom for a few months and although we do have cheap apartment blinds which filter some light, these are excellent for a room that takes full morning sun all year round. They definitely cut down on heat a lot which is especially great if you don't have double pane windows. And kitty doesn't touch them at all! We recently purchased really nice sofas and the room is still coming together and figured curtains were one of the fastest and cheapest options to keep us moving forward. We ended up with four taupe panels in the 52"x92" measurements, and two panels of the beige (or cream I think the packaging said)? I also love that a set of "tie backs" - in this case a strip of fabric with Velcro are included. Finally, I appreciate that the back of the curtain is not white; it is the same color through out (minus the metallic). I highly recommend these for price, quality, light blocking, and appearance. ... show more

They're so pretty hanging up. They work amazing as blackout curtains. I just wish they were full length. They're only like 3/4 lengths but that being said they're perfect

I love these curtains they are nice and thick the material is soft but strong. Material also seems to be great quality just got than put them up as soon as I did they were very easy to hang installing rods and curtains took about 10-15 min max I love the length and they completely blacked out my bedroom. Which is great for me because I am a night shift worker. I live on a busy road they even seemed to block out some of the noises. Definitely will be buying more of these ... show more
