  • Excellent shoe
Size: 10.5 Wide Color: Brown/Green
This was an excellent shoe. My only issue was that it was too narrow in the toe. I got wide width but had to return them. Apparently they didn't come in extra wide.

  • Best arch and ankle support I have found.
Size: 9 Wide Color: Brown/Green
I work on my feet 8 hours a day. In 2010 I was suffering from Plantar Fasciitis, and wore Dr. Scholl’s arch support insoles with every shoe I owned, as recommended my foot doctor, and that worked well enough. One day, while shopping for hiking boots, I came across these ones, and noticed the great arch support they had, bought them, started wearing them to work, and never needed the Dr Scholl’s insoles again. They not only have great arch support, but also great ankle support. When they are new, I can stand in one place for a long time and my feet don’t hurt or tire. It actually feels like someone is holding my feet straight. The arch support holds well for over two years, the ankle support diminishes in a few months, but it is still noticeable over a year later. Overall, I need a new pair every two years or so. I do always own two pairs at a time, and I wear them all the time. My plantar fasciitis disappeared after wearing these boots. Still today, if I wear any other shoes, like my sneakers, and walk around for half an hour, my feet hurt, but with these boots, I can walk or stand all day, and feel no pain or tiredness. A couple of years ago I devoted a whole day to shopping for a different pair of boots that had equally good arch support. Went to different stores, tried on many pairs of different brands, including other Timberlands, but I could not find any model that was such a complete solution as these Chocorua are. Either the arch support was not as good, or they were not as comfortable, or they lacked the ankle support these have. In the end, I ended up buying two more pairs of these Chocorua. However, Timberland has discontinued these boots, as I learned when I contacted them directly. They are now only available through outlets like Amazon, or Zappos, I highly recommend them if you have my foot problems. I also went on many hikes with these boots and they performed excellently, even after wearing them for months at work. I read the comments about waterproofing, and Gore Tex vs. Timberdry (mine are Timberdry), and though waterproofing is not a factor for me, I can tell you that these boots are on my feet 90% of my time with shoes on, and I have worn them through snow and rain many times, and have never experienced any dampness, or water leaking. ... show more

  • My favorite boot but 12 wide in black always out of stock
Size: 12 Wide Color: Brown/Green
These boots are the absolute best and normally before Covid would always just buy these. But unfortunately the size 12w is always out of stock so I’ve been wearing other tims, cheaper ones without gortex liner. It makes a difference. Guess hard time getting these from China where they are made.

  • These are an awesome replacement for previous brand boot
Size: 11.5 Wide Color: Black
UPDATE: been a few more years, still wearing these. They last maybe 6-9 months, I’m a big guy and wear a single pair of these as the only shoes I wear 18 hours a day. Seriously. Then I replace them. Found this is the only way to go, different shoes make my bones hurt so I stick with a single pair of boots until worn out. My complaint is they are still hard to find, often out of stock in 12 wide in black. At around $100 per pair, about 1/2 the price of danners. And frankly not many boots are orthotic friendly including other Tim’s. I had been wearing the big "D" boots for years, in particular the striker series. They changed them, two more times from the original, and their last iteration was impossible to wear. Seriously, those boots is all I ever wore, work, home, beach, etc. Trying things like the popular "C" shoes, sneaks, etc. all gave my feet major problems even with orthotics. I'm as flat footed as they come, so this is always an issue and thus why I wear orthotics. Fast forward and I did a lot of research on boots. I had thought of trying a more common name in uniform boots, but wanted to try these because of the good reviews. These turned out to be an awesome find. I know that I was wearing an 11 EE in the big "D" and so I ordered the 11.5 EE (wide) in the Timberlands and that turned out to be a good idea. Their sizes run a tad small and definitely not as wide. Timberlands EE is more narrow than the big "D" EE. Since they don't make an even wider size, I'll make due. And the leather will surely stretch, it always does. The quality of these is amazing. They have a great build quality, seems to be very comfortable though I have just started wearing them today. They do accommodate an orthodic, but not as well as some other wide boots may. Either way I have been wearing them since USPS delivered today (SUNDAY) and they feel good. This is a first, never had a pair of shoes or boots that I could wear the whole day and not have aching feet. The only real problem I see is that this size is sold out everywhere. Even Amazon. I can only hope they are not discontinued, that would be awful and would have to start searching all over again for something that fits and works with my feet. I even tried a pair of Timberland White Ledge or something, 11 EE, and those are being returned. They are not wide enough, not long enough, and they cut down across the top of my foot no matter how loose I make them. My goal is just to buy enough of these to have on hand as the others wear, to go into a new pair. I figure a pair of boots, worn all day and night, might last 9 months-1 year, if I get more that is great. But a year is a good plan even per my foot doctor as they wear down over that year. If you like brown, or you can find these in your size, go for it. They are awesome boots and feel very comfortable, even on someone who has major foot issues with fit/comfort/etc. I've written to Timberland to see what their future plans are for this model. UPDATE: After about a week, my feet could not be happier. They are working out well. In fact, much better than my previous brand boot that I was wearing for 7-10 years. I would buy 2 new pairs of those other brand boots each year. I'd wear a pair to work, then come home and get changed, and wear the other. And after a year, they were both worn down pretty bad. I'd know because my knees would start hurting. So, I can only hope these hold up as well.....so far, so good. Bad part is these are on backorder until October, 2014 per Timberland. • Comfortable & Hold Up Well
Size: 12 Color: Brown/Green
This is my third pair of these Timberland Chocorua boots. They have been a stalwart for me. They are comfortable, durable and keep my feet dry. I've worn them in the desert, the mountains of the northwest and just as an everyday shoe. No eyelet failures, rips or tears The uppers have always outlasted the soles. An all-round good reliable boot at a decent price. ... show more

  • Nice boots but runs a little bit small
Size: 13 Color: Brown/Green
These boots looks really nice, feels warm and comfortable but it happens to fit a little small (so I have to return them). I have bought several Timberlands over the years, boots and shoes (I still have a 15 years old boots, with Vibram outsole and Gore-tex membrane), but found the last ones a bit smaller than older ones. I don't know if something changed in the manufacturing process over the years, but I still use my old Timberlands (they fit perfect) and this is the second pair of shoes that run small for me (I think that half a number bigger would be a good choice, but I use 13M and there was no bigger option available in this model). I didn't have the chance to try them outdoor (but old Timber are great) so I gave them 4 stars because of the fitting. ... show more
