The belt is exactly what I wanted -- a simple black belt -- and the quality seems to be very high. It is a little on the long side, though. It is my understanding that belt length is traditionally measured to the center hole (third of five in this case,) but at that point this belt measures 35 inches, not 34 as advertised. I'll keep it anyhow, and possibly order another one, but if I do order one, I'll choose a size smaller than what I have and hope that they *all* run a little long, and not that my particular one was a fluke.

The belt is a good fit and it looks fine. For the price I paid I didn't expect a super fashion belt but as an every day jean belt it's fine. The issue I have is that it has a horrible and extremely strong smell about it. I assume it's from the tanning process or dying process but whatever it is it is strong and hasn't gone away. It's so bad that I've ordered and received another belt from a different maker from Amazon and I'm now wearing that one. This belt is hanging in the garage and I hope that the smell goes away and I'll be able to use it in a month or so.
