This belt was true to size for me specifically. I wear a 32 and I had two spare holes to work with. A small couple complaints I have are the stiffness of the belt, and how frickin shiny it is. I don't expect a fully broken in belt for $20, but this thing needed to be worked like a baseball glove when I got it, just so it didn't feel like I was wearing a suspended hulahoop. I'm not sure if the belts shown in the images of the ad are from a more worn in belt but the one I got was a bit shiny, almost like a dress belt. I imagine with wear it'll look closer to the pictures in the ad. The adjustability of the belt is okay, it has five holes in total that span approximately a 5" span of leather. All in all, the quality of the belt is very good, it seems sturdy and well made. It also properly performs it's function as intended, so it's hard to not give this belt 5 stars. ... show more

A guy's belt, and a good one. Timberland products can be hit-or-miss, but this a hit. Great price on a simple item, well constructed and unobtrusive. Good quality leather, a buckle that's big enough but not too big -- it isn't brass, but honestly, that's an overrated feature for purists. It's rugged, but not loud. The perfect jeans belt...for a guy who wears jeans for a reason. Not a good belt for guys who buy goofy lookin' ripped-up jeans for fashion sake. The belt is well made, a touch small (size 36 with a 36" waist and I'm on the second hole instead of the third hole). I would easily give this belt 5 stars, but it has a musty smell. You can't wear this--people would think it's coming from you--like you could never wear this on a date. I let it air out for 2 weeks and no change. It will stink up any closet it's hung up in. This is the second time I tried to purchase this belt. Maybe I just got belts from a bad batch. The quality really is first rate. A traditional black belt, feels very strong but also good texture and quality. I've bought a few other brands and this is my preferred belt. It isn't a dress belt for fancy events, just a standard working belt.
