Disappointed with the color of the boots. They said brown on the add. It’s more like dark purple as you can see. Wife thought I got them for her. 🤦♂️

Since a good friend of mine invites me frequently to his farm to play and tend to the animals, I knew I needed a good pair of foot protection. Sure, I could have gone to the store and bought a pair of rain boots, but I wanted something more since the farm is fairly close to swampy terrain and the cows can get pretty muddy and sometimes out of control. With feet flying and not knowing what to expect, these waders were the answer. They are really good as the water and mud keep my jeans and feet dry. Not only are they comfortable, but sometimes I even forget I am wearing them. That's how good they feel on me. For anyone deciding on getting a pair of these waders, do not second guess yourself. I bought these for a cheap light weight wader, hoping they would work for trout fishing and also be packable for certain hunts where some water crossing would be required. They are very light, but are also quite thin, right down to the boot. Realize that, if you buy these, they are not going to last long unless you are very careful while using them. I picked a small hole in the leg on my first outing, though the patch kit that came with the waders took care of that. I'd say, if you need a light pair of hip boots for packing with you or only need them either infrequently or for light duty, go ahead and buy these. Otherwise, I would suggest a more heavy duty item, with heavier canvas lining and better boots. ... show more

Edit: Swapped the brown boots for the Tidewe green boots and for some reason the same size green ones fit correctly. I guess the lesson is to keep trying until you get boots that fit. At the moment the green boots are about 2/3 the price of the brown. So, the green boots are a very good deal. Everything else in my original review still stands. Forgot to mention that they come with a useful storage hanger. Original review: I checked these for water seepage and they were OK--though the seam between nylon and rubber does not look as if it will be long lasting. The boot rubber is thin and too flexible for serious wading; wearing these in rocky places would be a big mistake. The size 14 is definitely too small--actually 13 or smaller. Since this is the largest size there is no buying one size larger for people with big feet. The description is also misleading where it says "green and brown"; the boots come in either green OR brown, not a combination of the two. The brown boots that I received are brown on uglier brown--and for some reason they are 1/3 more expensive than the green. Sending back. ... show more
