Ticonderoga makes solid pencils that write smoothly and clearly. They are #2 pencils, so they are what most elementary schools require. I got the pastel pencils for my 4th grader. They are different than the regular yellow ones the rest of her class uses. She likes them because they are pretty. This Ticonderoga pencil is my favorite pencil to use. My personal connection to this product is that I use it daily as a teacher. I have been teaching for almost 20 years and it’s by far the best pencil, in my opinion. I use this pencil to write my lesson plans and take notes every day. I purchased this pack to give to my students as a Valentine’s Day gift this year. I like this pencil because it has an eraser that erases marks nicely and doesn’t smudge. It has a comfortable grip and writes easily on paper. When you sharpen it, it sharpens evenly and doesn’t break. At 50 cents a pencil, it is a good deal because it lasts a long time. It comes in fun pastel colors for Valentine’s Day or Easter. I have no concerns about this pencil. This is why I prefer the Ticonderoga pencil to use as a teacher. ... show more
