  • It all adds up!
It adds, subtracts, multiplies, and divides both integers and decimals with precision accuracy! It has lots of extra functions to keep parents amused while their child asks "hey, what does SIN do?" It's everything a parent hopes for when purchasing their child's first SCI Calc. Seriously though... Heading into her first year of Algebra, my daughter needed her first scientific calculator. This is the model they use in her class so I decided to get her one for home use. It's obviously not as full functioned as a full-on graphing calculator (I pulled out my trusty old TI-85 for comparison), but it's got everything she should need for the next few years of algebra and geometery. The solar cell works great on this. At night, indoors, the screen is still strongly visible and its nice not having to worry about batteries. This is a great tweener calculator. ... show more

  • So good people steal them! It’s really that good! Great calculator, better price!
This little calculator managed to do was some of the bigger ones do that half the price. Dual line display solar powered and fashionable what else can you ask for? I got these for my daughters for their junior high and high school classes. I actually just rebought these ones as one was lost and another stolen. Heck, these are so good other students are stealing them, I mean how often can you say my calculator so good other people stole it because it’s better than theirs? You can’t! It’s just that good! ... show more

  • Passable calculator for the money, but the buttons are irritating to use
I know it seems silly to give a three star review for a button issue, but utilizing the keys efficiently and easily is what makes a calculator usable. I would rather use my TI84. The keys on this calculator stick just enough that you have to deliberately press down to get them to work. Also, the screen is not as easy to read when lying flat, as it is on the TI84. Since you will need a graphing calculator down the road anyway, I recommend just going for one of the TI 84 versions instead. If this is all you need, I would just find a different brand. ... show more

  • This is my favorite TI calculator
This is my favorite TI calculator. It’s simplicity and weight are absolutely wonderful. Testing center friendly and great for college course work when graphing calculators are forbidden.

  • Required for college course, affordable
My son needed this for a community college math class because it is not programmable (can't be used as a cheat sheet.) It's worked very well for him and was affordable (which is always a good thing!

  • Sturdy and easy to sit on..use
This calculator is so awesome we have two! One is used to get lost and withstand the weight of everyone who sits on it while it’s lost in the couch somewhere, and the other is used at school and for homework, until it gets lost and we find the one stuck in the land of furniture or buy a third!

  • Useful Calculator
This calculator is pretty durable. It reminds me of the calculators I used to use in high school. It's easy to use and it's got the basic functions necessary for my chemistry class. It's a little pricey for my taste, especially since you can find one for as little as $11 but the demand for this calculator is high and due to time constraints I had to settle for a higher price. ... show more

  • Bought for daughter
Haven’t heard any complaints other than it’s easier to use the calculator on the computer so I don’t know why the school requires me to by one of these
