The installation instructions aren't clear. So you'll have to watch a YouTube video. The main reason I am giving this two stars is because of the lock and key set being of cheap quality. One of the locks broke on me on my first day using it. If Thule starts using a higher quality lock set this could be a 5 star product ... show more

This is so much easier than the style I have always used. This two bike Thule carrier all you have to do is lift and place your bike onto the tire area rather than struggling to get your bike high enough to feed bars through the frame. It is a solid heavy duty bike carrier and I am in love with how compact it gets when you’re not using it. It is made very well and I don’t have to worry about damage when.putting my Specialized bike on it. It is a very sturdy and holds each bike very steady. I was quite excited when I received this as my husband and I have been in the market for this style of bike carrier and it fulfills all the reasons why I wanted it. The Thule brand alone has always made very strong and durable products and here it is again not disappointing me. If you are needing a bike carrier or want to change over to this style I fully recommend trying this out. You will be happy with how easy it works. ... show more

    • Not suitable for e bikes buyers beware.
Well built unit, but it is not designed for heavy bikes like e-bikes which need a full track and a ramp so users aren’t picking up heavy bikes to set them in the carrier. There are much better carriers with full tracks and ramps for e bikes.

Pros: Installation was quick and straightforward, even for a first-time user. The rack is made of high-quality materials and feels very sturdy. The bike harness system is well-designed, holding each bike securely in place without any noticeable wobble during transport. Cons: The rack can be a bit bulky when not in use, and depending on the car model, trunk access might be partially blocked once the bikes are mounted. The locking mechanism, while functional, could feel more robust for added peace of mind. I use it on my Tesla Model X, once installed it bothers the rear sensors - I receive error messages all the time. That would my only complaint to this product, other cars maybe fine but I never tested it out. ... show more
