Normally I'm a North Face guy but this 15L Thule (Thule AllTrail X 15) has become my favorite backpack for EDC. I've actually bought 2 of the X versions and one of the regular versions. The gray one I have carried for a year. If it weren't dirty you would assume it was still brand new. Note that the 15L is too skinny to carry a laptop, but it will carry a 2L Camelbak bladder perfectly well. You could also squeeze a 3L Camelbak bladder into it if it wasn't full. I was impressed enough with the X 15 that I tried out the X 25 and the X 35. Those models are just as tough and comfortable as the X 15 but there may be better options at those sizes depending on your needs. But the X 15 can't be beat for it's size. The material the X models are made of is tough but relatively heavy so they may not be ideal for true wilderness backpacking where you have to carry all of your food with you. But for urban backpacking they should be great. ... show more

Not a lot of pockets so if you need to keep things seperated might want to look at something else. Im using it for college and it holds everything I need with room to spare. I have the 25L version and my 15" laptop slips in the pocket and is still comfortable against my back compared to others that feel overly rigid after putting the laptop in. ... show more

This pack is small and built for day trips. The materials are tough and high quality. It has a variety of pockets. There are two side water bottle mesh pockets. Also a small pocket on the lid and one on the right hand chest strap. And of course it has the main compartment with a laptop/water bladder pocket too. What they call nutria I would call pea green. It is not the tan color shown here on Amazon, or even on the Thule website. It is kind of like a yellowish olive drab. I attached a picture which does not quite do the actual yellow-green color justice. I think my camera added a bit of red.
