I suppose all sling-type bags involve trade-offs. This Waterfly really worked for me, but there are issues that may make it less appealing for some buyers. 1. As other reviewers have commented, the front snap is prone to pop open. But I've found that only happens when the bag is overloaded. Most of the time mine didn't open, even though it was holding a phone, an 8 inch tablet, a wallet, and two pairs of glasses (with room to spare). If you are planning to carry much more than that, you could always try the larger size Waterfly. 2. The shoulder strap has minimal padding. But with a bag this small I didn't find that a problem. Plus I imagine that in warmer weather, it will be a relief not to have some bulky strap over my shoulder. 3. There is no padding in the back of the bag. Could be a turnoff for some users, but on me the bag barely touches my back when I'm carrying it. What's more, the bag fabric is durable and comfortable, the zippers work very well, and the handy locking mechanism on the main zipper and the lower strap loop are things you rarely find on sling bags. So overall I'm very pleased.

Perfect size bag to hold my wallet, phone, cash, phone charger and some ear buds. I just wanted to have empty pants/shorts pockets. Great design, looks good. Has one flaw…. The magnet clip pulled free from the bag. The fabric around that clip doesn’t appear to be thick enough to hold up to the constant opening. Now it hangs loose.

We purchased these bags in the smallest size for a trip to Spain. They hold a surprising amount of stuff for their size and the antitheft locking mechanism works well. They can easily hold an 8 oz water bottle, small wallet, cell phone and few other items. They are comfortable and you can convert the strap so that it goes over your right or left shoulder. Some reviews complain about the outer pouch unsnapping itself. It will not unsnap as long as you line the snap up properly and hear a click when it snaps shut. We purchased 3 of these bags and they all worked great! Definitely recommend these if you are traveling to an area with pickpockets.

The bag is good quality and feels well made but it didn’t work for my purposes. I wanted something that I could easily slide to my front side and unzip to access the contents. This bag has a Velcro closure for an exterior pouch that has to be opened if you want to get into the bigger pocket. The bigger pocket has a one way zipper, unlike the larger versions of this brand of bag. The smaller outside pocket is perfect for a phone or keys, but the design wasn’t what I was looking for and it wasn’t obvious in the photos. The gray is a nice neutral color and would go with anything. It can be adjusted for either shoulder, which is helpful.

I really like this bag. I’ve had for a few years now. Great for traveling, hiking, running errands. If it were just a bit bigger, I’d use it for my iPad and make it my goto for a carry on when I travel rather than my larger backpack.

I went on a trip to Barcelona and got spooked when I heard the tourist areas were known for pickpockets. This was one of the cheapest options for a theft proof bag but it worked so well! The first time I screwed one of the zippers shut I think I screwed it a little too tight, or the clasp didn't line up right, because it did get stuck but I fixed it after about 5 minutes of messing with it. So definitely be careful with the zipper clasp since *you* want to be able to open it, but I definitely think it's difficult enough that anyone else would probably leave it alone. Thankfully I didn't have to test its slash proof material, but it feels sturdy and I wasn't even able to shove an enamel pin into the material. It looks super flat but I was surprisingly able to fit quite a lot in there--an 8 ounce water bottle, my wallet, my phone, a hand fan, gum, little packages of snacks, lip glosses. And even after all that, it didn't feel too bulky for being in festival crowds all day. Plus I brought it to the beach and everything inside the bag was sand free. This is a great bag for traveling/festivals/concerts!
