  • The best and most durable headset I have owned
Style: Gaming Headset
Bottomline first I have had this headset for almost a year. During that time, I have used it for work and gaming both for multiple hours at a time. The cushions on the ear pads are comfortable, the boom mic doesn't pick up a bunch of background noise, and has lasted through less than gentle transport in my laptop bag. Pros Durable Decent sound quality The mic doesn't pick up background noise like the AC right behind me It works on my Mac, my Xbox, and my PC It doesn't make my ears sweaty when used for prolonged times Cons The dongle to split the single plug to a dual plug was unreliable The inline mute button can be hit accidentally ... show more

  • Looks and Feels great but Internal wiring is terrible DONT BUY
Style: Gaming Headset
So I really like the external feel and construction of this headset, and it has a nice long wire for those of us with greater separation from our PCs. That is is the good news. The bad news is that I have had 2 of these headsets and both of got down the toilet with the internals. The first one I got always blared audio through the mic input for some reason, and it steadily got worse and worse over a 2 month period until suddenly the right earphone just died. So I got it covered by warranty and thrustmaster replaced it. Alright that's all well and good, but its sadly not the end of my tale of woe. The replacement set similarly blared audio through the Mic input, and the headphones right side would cut out incessantly. I found a quick workaround was to repeatedly unplug and replug the audio jack into the input output splitter over and over again until it worked. That is until today, when the mic cut out, and will not come back no matter how many times I unplug and replug, oh and the right headphone is also now permanently dead. This whole headset has been nothing but a pain in my life for the last year! Do yourself a favor and do NOT buy this headset. This was a real shocker for me, because I generally love Thrustmaster, I have their warthog HOTAS it is fantastic, but for whatever reason this headset is just plain terrible and does not live up to the quality I expect of much worse brands. ... show more

  • Extremely well built!
Style: Gaming Headset
This headset looks and feels like its built to a Mil- Spec. Large and very heavy duty. Sound quality is excellent. Easy access volume control (actual turn knob on left earpiece.) Weight is heavier than most, but that's why they are so strong. The head band is padded stainless spring steel - but they are quite comfortable due to a wide padded band. I actually used them at the firing range and they did decent there too! My only complaint - The ear holes are bit small, but I have a big head so they will work fine for most. Easily the most durable, heavy duty gaming headset on the market. These will not break after a year of use like most. ... show more

  • Very comfortable/useless mic
Style: Headset DTS
This is such a disappointing product from Thrustmaster - I really regret not listening to the other reviews that commented on how unfixably low the mic input level is. I'm not sure if it's just poor digital design, or that the mic arm is not long enough to position the mic in front of your mouth...but it's unusable if you want to be heard by people. That all said - decent sound for $100 headphones and extremely comfortable to wear if you're just listening. But overall, I regret this purchase and would not recommend. ... show more

  • The things a bit dodgy.
Style: Gaming Headset
I've had two of these, got them because I'm big into DCS and wanted something to fit in with it without being too rgb 'gamery.' These things are absolute dog trash. Both headsets had serious issues with the cable splitter causing the left side sound to randomly cut out. I sit here fiddling with it, plugging the 3.5mm jack in and out in a way that is vaguely reminiscent of what I thought being an adult would be like as a 14 year old until I reach the nirvana of a working headset. Why two you ask? The first ones cable got chewed in half by a kitten. I figured, 'oh, maybe just that one sucked.' so I got another. Just as bad, worse actually, it acts up more often than the old one did. Actually, it's even worse than that, a friend bought me my second one. Turns out they're just not very good. Looks real nice though. Lets toss some other things in, it doesn't easily work with the track ir side clip, I had to t-rex tape my clip to it just to make it not wobble around loosely on the only part of the headset it would fit on, the extension for fitting it onto my fat head. That's right kiddies, an air force styled headset isn't designed to accept a Track IR unless you use bdsm levels of tape, because of course if you don't the metal is smooth so the track clip will jiggle around. Hard pass, never again. ... show more

  • Great and Comfortable
Style: Gaming Headset
I have had this headset for about 2 weeks, and I must say this has been the most comfortable headset I have ever owned. The sound quality is outstanding in my opinion and I love the look of it. It falls right into my sim gaming as I play a lot of DCS World and iRacing. The headset style falls right into place for me. The only reason that I did not give it 5 stars is because of the mic. When I am gaming with my friends and such, it feels like I almost have to yell at times for them to hear me. I personally do not think it is the headset, but maybe something in my sound settings. I still have yet to figure it out. My last headset I owned began hurting my ears after an hour or so of gaming. This is headset does not cause my head to hurt until after several hours. Any headset will start to hurt your head after wearing them for hours at time, I just do not know when to stop gaming at times lol. Track ir also fits perfectly on this headset, but due to extended wear of my tack clip pro, I wrapped electrical tape around the area where I wanted to mount it at and it worked flawlessly. It stays in place at all times and never moves. This is by far the best headset I have ever purchased. If it for some reason stops working, I will order another one. I highly recommend this headset to anyone that is in the market. ... show more
