If the wing nut had a lock washer on it I would give it 5 stars. It tends to come lose while winding the serving and you have to stop to reset the tension, but its hardly an inconvenience. Maybe if you are a pro working in a bow shop doing this all day you will want something better. It works fine for the few times / year I need it. The string it comes with is surprisingly durable.

The one I got has serving thread that is much lighter "baby blue" color rather than the darker blue shown on the project page. Other wise the the serving jig and thread seems good.

Purchased this setup primarily for the jig so I can serve a cable on my bow if I ever needed to. I guess I’ll use the serving material to tie soft nocks or tie in a peep if I ever have to redo my strings. Seems sturdy and does the job as intended will update review if any of this changes. The string seems basic enough but is smaller so wouldn’t use it to center serve or end serve a string.
