I am a contractor, and I use these boots for all my work, indoor and outdoor. They are sturdy, but lightweight and do not make your feet feel tired by the end of the day. They cost a little more, but are well worth the price and are a good value because they last a long time, get more comfortable with wearing, and outlast any other boots I have worn. You would need to purchase two or three pairs of other boots that would wear out much more quickly. Very high-quality. Note: I do not use the steel toed type so my commentary is for the non-steel toe boots.

I have owned my 8-inch Thorogood boots for 15 years now and have had them resoled twice. They are a high quality pair of boots that have stood the test of time and only become better with age, and now fit like a glove. I recently purchased a pair of waterproof six-inch boots from Thorogood and expect them to be the last pair of winter boots I'll ever own. They may seem a bit pricey, but if you can afford it, In my opinion, it is worth it to invest in a pair of boots that will last a lifetime and only get better with age. To maintain the quality of these boots, I recommend regularly cleaning with saddle soap and applying shoe polish. Overall, I highly recommend Thorogood boots.

I am a professional greens keeper that has the privilege of also maintaining a ski area an off road course and a zip line tour. These boots fit right out of the box then I regularly use leather conditioner on them so break in was pleasant. Tuck the tongue in the same each time you lace up. Comfortable and durable in wet weather not too hot in summer heat, soles are holding up well and I use these every day

Looks like the pair I got were two different colors. One looks about a shade or two darker. Also one boot stitching was very bad. Was not as even as the other one. This shoe should have never left the factory. Sent back for another pair. I did try them on and they felt good except for the one. Little nervous about the tongue but from what I hear I just have to break them in for a day or three and it will be worth it. We’ll See.

Amazing quality, construction, design and comfort. I’m a union electrician. Perfect for my jobsites and my coworkers will be getting them too. The soles don’t need any breaking in but the ankle area takes a day to break in and forms nicely. A garden hose the drywall dust off every day and they still look new. Can’t wait to condition the leather if/when the time comes. I plan on wearing Thorogood 6” waterproof moccasin toe briar pitstop for a very long time.

First of all, the boots are VERY NARROW even in wide size. This is pair number 6 that have all fit completely different. The tongue is too big for the boot, so it is impossible to not have a crease on the top of your foot when you lace them. Both boots didn't get stitched completely on the tongue. The left boot is sewn onto the sole crooked so the top of the boot and instep put pressure on your foot. The lining inside both boots is also too big so it creases when the boot is laced also causing pressure. Huge LUMPS all around both boots, and the footbed is not even close to the same in both boots. These are going back just like all the other Thorogood boots I've tried over the last 2 weeks. Definitely won't be giving them anymore of my money. Never have I seen such inconsistency and lack of quality control from a company. I even emailed them directly about all the boots being vastly different in size and shape, and their response was, just return them and nothing they can or will do. Piss poor customer service. They ought to be ashamed of the boots that have been produced lately. This is embarrassing!

I just got these and wore them for most of a day in summer heat. The first thing I noticed is that they appear to be insulated but there is no mention of it on the page. It could just be the moisture wicking fabric for waterproofing but feels like insulation and definitely were hotter that I expected since I got these primarily for use in the summer months. The other thing to take note. It took me a bit to get the lace up right. Where the tongue joins the boot landed right on my ankle. Having bony ankle that was very uncomfortable. I had to get the tongue crease pushed down right ti sit below my ankle.
