Wow, this is such an excellent heavy duty 12 gauge 25 foot extension cord. I have a brand new plug-in electric vehicle that I constantly need to charge to keep driving in electric mode. The 25 feet of this cord is perfect as the nearest outdoor outlet from my designated parking is about 20 feet away. My main biggest troubleswith the other regular extension cords was that, I was constantly burning out my outdoor 15 amp gfci outlets (I had burnt out 5 outlets prior) due to the heat from the poor 14 gauge wire extension cord. This new 12 gauge wire is a huge upgrade, it handles the current 100+ degrees of So Cal outdoor temperature like a champ and most importantly, it handles the car charge with absolutely No Heat! Another feature that separates this wire from the rest of the pack is the Bright LED bulb at the end to show you that there is live electric current and for you to see where the wire is In the dark too. I thought that was a very considerate touch. I’ll definitely be buying more. Recommended!

Would have been 5 star but noticed 1 thing that could have been a quality control inspection problem. But for the cost difference in comparison to other cords of the same specs I really can't complain. The connections at the male end of the cord had been both crimped and soldered, but the female end had been only crimped. Probably will never be a problem for me, but for someone regularly pushing this cord to max amperage it could be. Because a lot of these manufacturers are now using clear molded male and female plug ends on their cords it allows the consumer to actually see the connections. I would have to assume that this was just a slip up on manufacturing and not the norm.

When originally ordered, I received only one cord. I wrote to the seller but received no response. I called Amazon Customer service and let them know about the problem. They were very courteous and told me don't worry about it and they would take care of it and they did. I received my second cord on 2/1/2021, HAPPY. I use a lot of power tools and a 12 gauge cord is the way to go, in my opinion. I've gotten rid of all my 14 gauge cords. Granted 14 gauge is easier to handle and is not as bulky as a 12 gauge but the 12 gauge is worth the money.

This product is well made and hard to find. Never saw it in any store. I use it for my electric smoker and it does not overheat the cord or plug like smaller gauge wire does. Safe for high current draw uses.

Bought it to use as an extended cord for my 220v welder. (used my own 220v plugs) The insulated ground will be used as a neutral wire for 220 volts cord. It was a lot cheaper than buying a cord made for 220v. You cant convert other 120v cords to do this because the ground is normally a bare wire. . Saved lot's of $$$$ doing it this way.

These work great for getting power to my building while waiting for permanent hook up. Cars are even driving over one of them over gravel with no damage (yet). The LED in the one end that has been exposed to weather for several months went out. But it's been exposed to sun and torrential rain - for months. These things are a great buy (at least, they were when I bought them.

You get great quality at nearly half the cost you pay for extension cords elsewhere. In our fabrication shops, we go through a lot of extension cords. I used to always get ours at Lowe's or Home Depot until I discovered these on Amazon. I highly recommend them.
