We love these cups, the best we have found. We use them at home and for travel, and just bought our second set. We haven't had any issues with leaking, though they can throw some water droplets when the top is popped open. The unicorn design, which my daughter loved so much, scratches easily. The cups have different finishes, so only some of them do this. But the unicorn cup is all scratched up after about a month of use. Very disappointing. My other qualm is they sent us the hearts cup instead of the butterflies we ordered. Still a cute design; not worth returning, these shipping errors happen. Now, this is me speaking to everyone everywhere who makes children's products: PLEASE include more cute designs for boys!!! There is ONE boys' design, the honeybees. All the rest are characters or brands. My son's second cup was a plain solid color, which felt a shame when there's like a dozen cute girls' designs! Love it. We already had a grey one so I ordered the blue at a great price on here that way we can switch it day to day while the other one is washed and dried. Great size for my (almost) 2 year old. He went from the Dr. Browns straw bottle to this. He can push the button to open it and close it just fine by himself. He also likes to hold it from the handle on the top. It's not leak proof. There's a hole at the top of the straw so when you suck out of it, it flows well. Therefore if you leave it sitting on its side opened it will leak, or if you leave it on its side closed there will be water in the lid when you open it. Not a lot of water. Like it's not a full flow leak! But just a bit. Luckily he doesn't leave it laying around so we are all good so far. ... show more

We've purchased 2 so far for our grand kids. By far the best one out there. In the words of my 5 year old grand son hours and hours after his Thermos super hero mug was filled with ice water, "My water's still cold!!" He was super happy that he didn't have to drink warm water. These are are great size for toddlers and young kids. Not too heavy for little hands. Easy to open and close for them. Dishwasher safe - enough said!! Another school supply that was a couple dollars cheaper than from Walmart, and also came with little Name stickers you can put in. Which came off in the dishwasher, but it was enough for the first few days of school for kids to know whose water bottle is whose. I don't know that the water actually stays cold for 12 hours - I have put ice inside with cold water, just cold water, and also filled it up and left it in the fridge until morning and it's usually about room temperature by the time my son gets home from school if there's any left. It's easy to wash and comes apart in several pieces for thorough washing. A lock feature would be nice, but not necessary if your kid listens to you and stores it in the water bottle side pocket of his bookbag instead of tossing it in to roll around and get opened by banging into something else. :) The design I received was different than the one I selected but it was still Minecraft and matched his bookbag and lunch box. ... show more

My son loves this water bottle. He loves the design and its ease of use (he is 5) Pros: 1. Pattern is very desirable to children. 2. Sizing. It fits in a standard lunch box. 3. Straw makes for easy drinking and less spill opportunities Cons: 1. The lid can open VERY easily if not careful. We put this in his lunchbox and it has self opened a few times and leaked through the lunchbox, through the backpack and onto our sons clothing. 2. Cleaning can be a bit rough if you do not have a tool to send up the straw. All in all kids will like it as it is easy for them to manipulate. If they would update the lock feature then it would prevent the biggest con of opening easily and leaking. ... show more

This is a great cup. It has been a great help to have. My daughter can't drink milk and that's all her school offers with lunch. This cup helps keep her drink cold through lunchtime. We've had a few instances where the lid popped open while in her bag but most of the time is stays shut. This is a nice kids' water bottle . The stainless steel walls are thinner and not as heavy as the Pottery Barn Kids comparable water bottle but it does its job. it's not completely leak proof (when the cap is open) so I make sure to close it when not in use.
