  • A Reliable Powerhouse
Size: 500W Style: 80 + White
For starters, It's a Thermaltake product so you know you can't go wrong. I recently got my hands on the Thermaltake Smart 500W PSU, and I must say, it's an excellent power supply unit for my PC. This PSU is 80+ White Certified, which means it's energy-efficient and can help save electricity. One thing I really appreciate about this PSU is its reliability. It delivers a steady and consistent flow of power to my computer components, ensuring smooth performance even during intense gaming sessions or demanding tasks. Installation was a breeze, thanks to its user-friendly design and clear instructions. The cables are well-organized and labeled, making it easy to connect everything properly. The 500W power output is more than enough to handle my mid-range gaming rig and other peripherals. I haven't faced any issues with power shortages or overheating. The PSU is SUPER quiet, and I barely notice any noise even when my PC is running at full capacity. The 80+ White certification is a significant plus, as it ensures that the PSU is energy-efficient and helps reduce my electricity bill. So it's a great eco-friendly choice. The only two reasons I'm giving it four stars instead of five is that the cable length could have been a bit longer and some might need more power in larger gaming builds. For some PC setups, it might require cable extensions, especially in larger cases. Cables were sufficient in my case as I have a Micro ATX set-up. 500W was great for my Mid-range gaming system as I think I am only running about 450Watts. Larger more higher-powered builds will probably go well above the 500W mark especially if they are overclocking those builds. ... show more

  • Budget power supply that works well
Size: 600W Style: 80 + White
Power supply pricing is ridiculous right now. These Thermaltake Smart units are about the only option when doing a budget build or for use in older rigs that don't warrant spending the money on a truly good unit. I rated the unit 4 stars not because of a specific issue with the supply, but because this is NOT a quality unit. It is an affordable unit with the connectors required of many PC builds with a graphics card. I try my best to keep the actual system requirements within about 1/2-2/3 of this unit's actual output. I would NOT trust to use this in a high mid to high end system and certainly not with one of the more power hungry graphics cards. There simply are situations where spending sub $50 on a mediocre power supply makes well more sense than +$100. ... show more

  • Great budget PSU
Size: 500W Style: 80 + White
I have used this power supply at least 10 times in different budget/mid-range builds and have had no issues at all. It has typically been paired with a 65w CPU and GPU's that either need only 1 or no PCIe connectors. Even in a build with an AIO and every fan slot on a matx case in use, it still has enough left over power to spare. Definitely recommend for budget/mid-level builds. ... show more

  • Easy to install
Size: 600W Style: 80 + White
The power supply was a later version of an older one. The original was 7 years old and failed during a electrical storm. I live in a small city and could find no one to repair. I am not a hardware person and was very timid about replacing myself. Old one came out fairly easily. Installed and reconnected being very careful about keeping track of where old connections went. Worked first time. ... show more

  • ESPECTACULAR
Size: 500W Style: 80 + White

  • Doing its job
Size: 430W Style: 80 + White
Got these to upgrade the supplies in Dell 790 MT for video and cpu upgrades in them. Been chugging along for a while now with no issues. Only dislike that the cables are fat and just a hassle to tie off and out of the way. But thats the computer life.

  • good value.
Size: 700W Style: 80 + White
The media could not be loaded. OLD REVIEW, NEW REVIEW AT THE BOTTOM: In the clip attached to this you see my budget build running off this psu, and I must admit my first impressions were great, however whenever you run an intense sustained load like shatterline (the game in the clip, free on steam, not sponsored) for more than 10 minutes it's only a matter of time before you get a black screen crash forcing you to hard shutsldown and switch your power supply to off wait a minute and turn it back on. Worst part is there is not error code to go off of. After days of trying to find the issue I tested this Power supply in some other systems and it had the same issue. However if you just need something to run a system that will never see much load this will work. I have used thermaltake powersupplies for years and know they are good. However if you need something to power your high end gaming rig the thermaltake smart is not it. UPDATE: I was wrong. I am quite certain that the power supply is very good. My Pc was crashing for other reasons and I didn't know any better. I got an expensive power supply and had the same issue. Turns out my power supply was faulty. Great power supply and a good price, honestly I would recommend, and will certainly buy in the future. ... show more
