Really nice PSU. 80+ gold, good low to mid end power supply range, all the safety features you could need to prevent a fire + an Eco mode switch. Only problem is the cable design…DO NOT GET THIS FOR A FULL SIZE ATX CASE. YOUR EPS CABLE WILL BARELY REACH. I was installing an MSI X470 Gaming Plus motherboard in a Phanteks Enthoo Pro TG case and the typical routing I do wouldn’t work because of the EPS cable length. It’s got a little bit of slack for the routing I did (along the back panel crevice and through the top right hole looking at the motherboard backside panel) but not much. Also there’s NO STRAIGHT SATA CABLE CONNECTORS. ONLY 90° CONNECTORS. So if you want to use any of your 2.5” mounts for your SSD’s HA good luck. Stick them in the HDD tray . There are 3 Sata plugs per cable though which is nice. All the cables are non-sleeved flat cables which is AMAZING for cable management. You can actually stack the cables on top of one another instead of side-by-side like with EVGA or Corsair PSU cables. If you’ve bought a Lian Li PSU you know what I’m talking about. This doesn’t require you to have to pull hard on your Velcro straps to get the cables to press down just enough for your back panel to go on without bulging. Honestly if Thermaltake would add 50cm more to the EPS cables, swap 1 SATA cable for one with all straight connectors and have 1 with 90’s or have a combo 2 straight 1 90 they would have my money forever. But alas they fell short. 4/5 though just got having flat unsleeved cables and making cable management SO EASY ... show more

The zero fan mode is essential because this is definitely my loudest fan under normal usage. But, during high usage, it's just fine. Just keep auto zero fan mode on. THE POWER CABLE Took me forever to found out what it was. PSUs above ~1300W+ typically come with this square headed power cable vs the normal trapezoid shaped one. It's a C19 standard cable (compare to the more traditional C13). I think C20 may also work edit: Okay...the cables are just bad. These are flat cables that I thought would be helpful. They're actually not because the second you have to bend in the other direction they will take up a ton of room. Horrible for my FD Torrent case. Plus the 8-pins are just shy of reaching my GPU properly with the PSU being top mounted. Guess it's time to invest in CableMod... ... show more

This is among the first crop of new ATX 3.0 PSUs available. The price is right. Thermaltake quality is also good and it`s silent. Now is coupled with an MSI GPU 4090 Gaming by the single 12VHPWR connector and works fine. Although I have a full size tower case, the 12VHPWR cable does a curve that prevents me from closing the case`s left panel. So the system is running open until I get a 12VHPWR 90 degree angle adapter from Cablemod. I had before a Corsair HXI 750 and I miss the PSU`s digital link through that I could check PSU`s power draw. Corsair is going soon to introduce a new PSU line called Shift, where the PSU`s connectors are placed at the right side . This feature will make easy to connect cables. In the future I would like to upgrade to a PSU with these two features. ... show more

This atx 3.0 PSU is GREAT cost to performance value! At 1650W, it offers more power than you'll most likely ever need. But, that also means you can upgrade and add hardware to your rig without ever having to worry about power demands. It will handle the requirements of high-end gpus and cpus without dropping a sweat. It comes with plenty of cables for your components, and being atx 3.0 means you don't have to worry about using that annoying adapter that comes with 40xx series rtx gpus. Literally the worst 24pin I’ve ever seen in my life. Like $40-60 PSU’s have a better looking one. Although I am not keeping the stock cables I think people should see what they are getting. Every single cable is UNsleeved except both 12+4pin (16pin 12vhrpwr) cables. On top of that the way the 24pin mobo cable is laid out the 4pin / 4 seperate wires are miserable to deal with. This PSU is smaller in size than my previous HX1200 Platinum (all cables are sleeved) and it costs twice as much. First time I have gone with a different psu brand other than Corsair. I will be getting a Corsair brand once they release them but wanted this in the meantime to get me by. I haven’t ran tests yet but I can imagine this likely isn’t a full 1650w. I’d recommend it to anyone (I guess) but get a cable kit. ... show more
