  • Best Power Supply Out There
Color: Black Size: 850W Style: Gold Pattern: Toughpower
I recently upgraded to the Gf1 Series Power Supply, and I'm thoroughly impressed with its performance and features. This power supply is not only 80 Plus Gold certified but is also Intel C6/C7 States ready, delivering up to 90% efficiency. It's optimized to work seamlessly with all generations of Intel's processors, ensuring maximum energy savings. One of the standout features is the ultra-quiet 140mm hydraulic bearing fan. This self-lubricated PWM fan not only provides superior cooling performance but also operates almost silently. The Smart Zero Fan technology is a game-changer, auto-regulating the fan speed based on power consumption. The fan kicks in only when the PSU workload surpasses 30%, and there's even a switch at the back to turn off the fan for constant spinning if needed. The build quality of this power supply is exceptional, with 16AWG wires ensuring durability and reliability, especially for high-end enthusiasts' PCs. The use of Japanese capacitors at 105°C offers the highest stability, durability, and reliability, enhancing the overall lifespan of the power supply. The Zero Cable Platform design, where daughterboards are directly soldered to the motherboard, contributes to better heat dissipation and impressive output power quality. The low ripple noise, less than 30 mV, ensures excellent performance and reliability for critical components like high-end graphics cards. Strict voltage regulation (<2%) for major rails is a significant advantage, surpassing Intel's standard of 5%, guaranteeing the highest performance. The high amperage single plus 12V rail ensures a stable and reliable power supply to all PC components. Safety is a top priority with industrial protections, including Under Voltage Protection (UVP), Over Voltage Protection (OVP), Short Circuit Protection (SCP), Over Power Protection (OPP), Over Temperature Protection (OTP), and Over Current Protection (OCP). This comprehensive protection ensures the safety and longevity of the power supply and connected components. ... show more

  • Works great! Great customer service if you need it
Color: Black Size: 650W Style: Gold Pattern: Toughpower
So far it's been going strong. I've had it for 4 months on a 300w max load and it hasn't skipped a beat. With my stated load it's stupid quiet and runs cooler than anything else in my PC. I had an issue last month I thought was a PSU problem but it ended up being my (B550) motherboard. One morning I tried to power on my computer and it didn't do anything. No lights, no nothing. It worked just hours before. It needed a CMOS reset and I thought the power supply went bad, oops I'm dumb. I was wrong but Thermaltake still took care of me because I asked them to RMA the product. I went through the RMA process online with Thermaltake and they were great. It took about 1 week from submit request form to having a replacement power supply in hand. For the 650w I paid $99 core charge and they sent me a brand new one in box. I shipped back the one I mistakenly thought was bad in that same box. The refund of my core charge was processed immediately upon their receipt. Everything was easy and fast. I thought they handled everything great so no complaints. ... show more

  • Very good power supply! Solved the coil whine on my GPU
Color: Black Size: 750W Style: Gold ATX 3.0 Pattern: Toughpower
I see several detailed reviews here so I'm going to keep this one quick and straight to my experience. I recently upgraded my computer and ended replacing every part except the drives and the power supply (an almost 6-year old EVGA G3 650W); everything worked fine but while gaming my new RX 7800 XT produced an annoying coil whine which tempted me to return it, however I decided to give a try first and upgraded the power supply to this Thermaltake Toughpower GF3 750W, with it the coil whine magically went away! As other reviews point out, this power supply is very silent and the cables are long although a bit stiff for my personal preference, however they are usable. By the way, this 750W power supply comes with a PCIE Gen5 cable rated at 300W. ... show more

  • Works well so far
Color: Snow Size: 1200W Style: Gold ATX 3.0 Pattern: Toughpower
Very nice PSU with all the cables you need. I had a 3070 that used the "old" power cables, which I upgraded to a 4080 that uses the "new" power cable. This PSU included cables for both. It's whisper quiet, and the fan doesn't spin when it's not pushing load. I've had no throttling of devices, no cable whine, and it looks nice in white. This thing is a beast. ... show more

  • This power supply causes constant crashes and has severe fan speed issues.
Color: Black Size: 1650W Style: Gold ATX 3.0 Pattern: Toughpower
This power supply has crashing issues when the GPU is under load. It also has fan speed issues that seem arbitrary and almost unrelated to GPU loading. For example, when playing a game utilizing 99% GPU load, looking at complex geometry, the fan may not even be audible. However, looking at the ground with GPU load dropping to less than 95%, the fan ramps up to maximum speed and is extremely loud. The variable nature of this is actually much worse than a constant loud speed as this power supply can never decide which games, or which moments in which games to ramp up the fan. It is literally constantly going from minimum to maximum and back again. I RMA'd my first unit, used multiple 12V gpu cables to my 4090, used cablemod cables, used both 12V slots on the supply, and nothing would remedy this problem. However the biggest issue is the random crashing. Much like how this unit cannot decide how to use it's fan, it can also not decide which games under which loads to crash. I am one of the few people who bought and played Immortals of Aveum, and this game was an incredible pain to get through because my computer would constantly crash, just straight to black screen, with the GPU fan maxing out during a crash, and requiring me to hold the power button of the computer to get a complete shutoff before powering on again. Then the very next day I play Last of Us Part 1, which also maxes out my GPU load, 10 hours of playtime, no crashing. Look at the other 1 star reviews. You'll see this exact problem repeated in them: black screen crashing with fans maxing during crash. I do not recommend that anyone purchase this gpu, and wish I had gotten a refund earlier as now I am stuck with a paperweight that I am replacing with an MSI MEG AI1300P, by all accounts a similar but hopefully more stable power supply. ... show more
