  • Beautiful
Color: Black Size: 120mm Style: Triple Pack
These are really pretty -- really pretty. I only put the Quad fans in the front initially because I didn't know how nice they would be vs. cost.... now, I will probably replace some of the other Plus fans over time. I can't hear these at all and physical install is super easy. Once you figure out the controller configuration and connections, the software (v2.1) works very well. The only issue is that the controllers and software are very temperamental. I have a lot of Thermaltake parts (fans, water blocks, pumps and temp/flow monitor). As parts arrived, the "controllers" looked identical... they aren't :). Only certain items can be controlled from specific controllers. I haven't identified the exact cause, but two of the controllers stopped working completely (parts still work great, but no matter how / what I connect, they don't get an led signal). I can't get Support to send me (or even let me buy) controllers. I've been approved to "order" them from the technical team, but denied on trying to place a request twice. Still chasing this, but I hope to just be able to buy these outright at some point. The ability to update firmware would add another "star" to my review. Technical Support IS awesome and they respond almost immediately -- they helped identify cause / resolution for some of the controllers. Some controllers would only come up on certain dip switch configurations - but this is all resolved now that I have the right parts on the right controllers, and BIOS / OS options configured to turn off power saver for USB, verify address settings, they recommend the W7 water block be at the front of the controllers, etc. Very few companies have tech support this responsive and knowledgeable about their products. I accept some of the blame here -- keep track of which controllers go with which parts - the controllers look identical, but they definitely have different progressions of firmware and maybe even capacitors based on what they are communicating with. ... show more

  • GORGEOUS!!!
Color: White Size: 120mm Style: Triple Pack
Best looking fans I’ve ever bought. Decently good airflow and nearly silent. Im just sad to turn my back on the rgb for my intake fans :(( Only one con: cords are a bit too long and make cable managing 9 of them virtually impossible lol I do regret buying these over something reversible, especially for 250 bucks worth of these fans. So beware of your mounting options before buying ... show more

  • Great looks, super quiet at lower rpm, bad software, decent airflow
Color: Black Size: 120mm Style: Triple Pack
These look great, if you can get them to work. It took me about 4 hours to learn the ins and outs of the "TT PLUS" software and i had to revert to an older patch of it but I can get it to look however I want reliably. Sometimes it doesn't recognize my second controller and I have to restart but I'd say thats less than 10% of the time. If this software was as easy as Corsair ICUE these would be a must buy for any RGB build enthusiasts. As it stands I would only recommend it to people who really want the RGB customization of 4 RGB strips in each fan, or people who will already need to use the software for some other part of the build. I am using the Distrocase 350P which is also controlled by the same software and conveniently can plug into the same controllers. Looks: Personally these are the best looking RGB fans on the market in my opinion. Also these are bright as F. I turned them down to about 20% max brightness so that they weren't light spotlights. These still are very bright even in a well lit room. Noise: My build has a 10850k and a 3090 FTW3 (overclocked about 3%) and both are cooled by 1x 360mmx64mm rad. During heavy load the fans run at about 1000 rpm which is barely audible and moderate load they stay at around 600 rpm which brand new these are completely silent. Airflow: I keep my apt at 60F so I am not the most impartial reviewer on this front but in push/pull configuration my gpu and cpu stay below 50C, highest ive seen my fans ramp up is 1200 rpm, tied to cpu temp. A less heat heavy build could probably get away with 3x120mm but i wanted the rgb and low rpms so i went with 6. Other notes: Each fan's cable has a faux fabric sheathing which looks super high class but basically triples the amount of space these cables take up. Something to keep in mind when you're thinking about cable management. Some people straight up can't get the software to work at all but it worked for me ok. ... show more

  • (Riing Quad) Fans are fine for rad use, software is complete garbage...
Color: Black Size: 120mm Style: Triple Pack
I bought a trio pack of the Riing Quad's for the front of my system and to cool a 27mm radiator in a custom loop. I wanted the 'flashier' RGB on the front of the case and I could have that if ThermalTake would actually fix their software. Right now I have to use the software setting of Riing Trio's because there is not Quad option available. Even with the software update a couple days ago (Sept 13th 2020), Quad's are still not an option at all in the software. I only know what these could look like as before setting everything up and running the loop for fill, they lit up 100% (all four rings) in RGB mode. Maybe one day the software will allow me the ability to use my Quad's in their full glory, but I'll probably be waiting until never for that to happen. Other than the lack of software working correctly, the fans work perfectly. They run about 1650-1700 RPM at maximum speed. In a Thermal Glass case like mine, the sound is greatly dampened so running at 100% isn't even a noise issue (for me at least as nobody says they hear them running via my mic during streaming sessions). Not sure what issues people are having with any of these ThermalTake fans, but I've never had an issue with their fans across the many years that I've been using them. I even have their standard ARGB fans in my case as well for RGB fill for the rest of the 'canvas' and have had zero issues with those hooked directly to the mobo using AURA. I have SEVEN case fans, down TWO from my last rendition in this case (those were also all TT fans from the Riing series), and if some company is having issues with their fans I avoid them because I need reliable case fans for my builds. ... show more
