Features

  • Great Thermal Image Test Result: Compared to the standard case fan, the combination of three Ring radiator fans and RL360 radiator delivers 40% better cooling performance. (Inlet and outlet temp. are 49 and 44.5 in respective, T= 4.5). Air flow - 51.15 CFM. Noise level - 19.0 decibels
  • Concentrated Compression Blade: Custom designed for high-static pressure requirements of demanding applications like radiators, the CCB is engineered to focus the inner circle of air outwards, allowing the outer section to pressurize and compress.
  • Wind Blocker Frame: To achieve maximum static pressure in all applications, this reduces the blade's noise and vibration, creating a perfect balance between power and sound by creating a compression effect and blocking any pressure from escaping.

Description

Ring 14 High Static Pressure LED Radiator Fan: Thermaltake has released the new Ring 14 LED Series, a 140mm fan fitted to enhance static pressure that produces impressive cooling performance with an optimized fan blade. In addition, an anti-vibration mounting system strengthens the stability during operation. The patented LED Ring maintains color and brightness uniformity; the lighting effect is visible from all sides and angles. The four-colored LED ring (in blue, red, white, and green) adds style to the chassis.

  • 3.0 out of 5 stars Without fan controller software, it doesn't move enough air and doesn't look like it should.
Color: Orange Size: 120mm Style: Single Pack
I bought this as a replacement for my Cougar brand fan of the same size which stopped working suddenly. I got this Thermaltake one in the Orange color because my entire system is based on Rinzler from Tron and the red/orange color scheme is in every piece of equipment that can light up. Expecting the Tron Rinzler lightcycle glow, this fan did not deliver. The lights on this fan are barely noticeable inside a regular case with vents, mesh, and foam in front of it. It would be ideal for a clear case (as they show in product images), but the lights do not shine through as you would expect. It has very low light output. They say image is everything, and because of how this is marketed, and how it really looks, that's a star lost for not looking like it's supposed to. You can barely see the ring light at all. Now, to this fans' credit, the cable wrap is well done with insulation, and mounting it inside your case is simple; no forcing your way through plastic to get the screws to fit as I have done with other fans, where you are literally digging threads into raw material. It was a piece of cake to install. The packaging is well done, and it comes with screws and extra adapters and cables to fit any older or new PC for installation and use; there is even an oldschool 4-pin Molex adapter if you need it for older PSU's that don't have newer connectivity. However, this fan comes with a 3-pin plug. Being plugged into a more modern 4-pin fan pinout on my motherboard, it caused several boot errors until I could force Windows to tell it what was going on. Multiple unnecessary boot failures all because of one changed fan. 0x000000e anyone? Boot failure due to hardware change. Since when was a fan capable of impacting an error like this? I've never seen this before in all my PC builds, but Thermaltake seems to have managed it, and that's another star lost just because of the frustration. As far as the push/pull of the fan, it is nowhere near as powerful as your average intake fan; it is marketed as such, and does not move as much air as you would want from a 120mm fan. Decibel wise; yes, it is incredibly quiet. But that is because its' normal operating frequency is 1,000 RPM, And without software to push it further, it will always be in passive mode and doing the bare minimum of cooling, and the bare minimum of looking cool. Don't get me wrong, Thermaltake makes great products. But this fan is marketed as a wind tunnel machine that will look like it came out of Tron, but it really doesn't do either. It is a good buy for the price tag, but without tweaks, hardware and software knowledge, it does not run how you would expect right out of the box. ... show more

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Nice and quiet

I used this fan to install in a clients computer. It not only looks great but is nice and quiet. I wish the seller offered the same fan without a color.

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Quiet, high quantity fans that really move air!
Color: Green Size: 140mm Style: Single Pack
I have bought the both the riing 12 and 14 models. These are fantastic fans. With regards to the riing 14 models I have bought multiple of these fans over the last few years. They are very reliable and even my older ones are still functioning quietly and efficently. There are few things one should note before using these though. -These fans are more or less meant for being case only fans (I'm sure they would function fine as radiators for AIOs but they are still only 3 pin fans) -They are high static pressure so they are able to punch through a decent amount of filters with little to no issues With those things out of the way it is time to get into the bulk of my review and into my thoughts about these fans after using them for about 5 or so years. The first thing I noticed about these fans is that at 100% they are decently noisy, but this is fairly unsurprising given their size. However, this is where some of you might be worried to buy them. Don't less this dissuade you from buying these fantastic fans. Even at 80% power these fan pump out an absolutely tremendous amount of air (borderline ridiculous amount) and at 80% they are nearly silent. My solution to the noise was simply taking them from my molex powered fan hub and plugging them into a fan header and the default curve took care of the rest (Brought it down from 100% power and a fair amount of noise to 65% and perfectly silent). Alternatively you can also use the low-noise adapter when plugging it into a hub but you will have to make sure to place it somewhere where heat (55C was what I was seeing with my probe) doesn't have the potential to harm your system. The final thing I would like to comment on is that these fans have very nicely lengthed cables so there is no need for extension cables even on the most large of builds. ... show more

High air flow, nice and quiet, and cool lighting effect if you don't want the disco look of RGB fans

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to install for my new PC build
Color: Blue Size: 140mm Style: Single Pack
I purchased a Thermaltake Core x71 case which had two of these fans in the front for intake and one in the rear of the case for exhaust. I installed a Cooler Master Hyper 212 for the CPU. I decided I wanted a few more exhaust fans and wanted them to match. The two I purchased matched exactly. This item comes with the necessary hardware to mount the fans bothin the front of a case or the top, bottom or rear. I mounted two of these fans to the top of the cause and they were mounted as exhaust fans - the model number sticker on the fan's center (as opposed to such the fan brand label on the other side) was facing out of the case. These are quite in my opinion and worked right away. Very pleased and highly recommend. ... show more
