This heatsink delivers insane value. My Lian Li Galahad 240 died on me, and I needed a quick replacement. Tried the AMD Wraith Stealth stock cooler first, but the temps were awful—hitting 80-85C playing games like Diablo 4 and Apex (not even CPU-bound games). I've got a solid airflow setup with 3 intake fans in the front, 2 at the bottom, and 2 exhaust fans at the top and back, so that's not the issue. Did some research and stumbled upon this bad boy. All the reviews online were positive, so I went for it. Installed it right away, and I have to say, I'm seriously impressed. Ran Prime 95 for about an hour, and temps didn't go over 60C. I might not even need another AIO at this point.

I played warzone 2.0 on ultra 1080p settings for 15 minutes and temps hit 74c on my i312100f cpu with stock intel cooler. I than installed the thermalright assassin 120 on my cpu with corsair thermal paste and after playing 20 minutes my temp only hit 56c, same settings just different cooler. I know the stock cooler was okay and I was not really hitting over 74c but staying in the 50s makes me feel better and I know when summer comes back with the higher room temps I'll be ready for it. Plus this cooler was about 20 bucks with tax, I'm very pleased with my purchase and it gives my setup a nice look to it.

The Thermalright Assassin X120 R SE is so good. It's inexpensive, isn't the most difficult to mount on an AM4 system, is quiet, and keeps temperatures super low while the CPU is under load. I installed mine onto a B450 board with a 5600G. Compared to the Wraith Stealth during a Cinebench R23 benchmark, 10-minute run, temperatures on average were 19+ degrees C cooler with the Thermalright Assassin X. The ARGB fan is nice and sturdy and while only 8-leds, it's plenty bright and very quiet at idle speeds. For the cost, the performance is out of this world. I'm unsure how well this cooler will perform on higher TDP CPUs (5600G is only 65W), but I definitely recommend it. I took a couple of stars off for the mounting system/ease of install as the brackets are a tad fiddley. I highly recommend installing the cooler before you put the motherboard into your PC Case. As I was replacing my cooler, my mobo was already installed, so it was a bit more difficult than I liked. Other than that, this is a great product for those looking to get better temperatures for not a lot of money! A+++

This is a very nice heat sink that keeps my processor running around 30c and dipping under 30c when idle. I tested this on an i3-10100f and it never went above 60c while gaming! This a great budget build option and looks nice too.

I usually don't write reviews but I'm stunned at how well this worked. For reference, I'm a complete newbie when it comes to building PCs and I have been struggling with the CPU temps on my Ryzen 5 3600 for about a year now. Under load, it was peaking around 90-95. I finally caved and bought the Peerless Assassin. Installation was a little tricky but nothing insane. Booted up my PC and now, my idle temps dropped 20 degrees and, under load, it's only hitting about 55. I'm very impressed!

I started hearing about Thermalright coolers on YouTube a few months ago. I wanted to replace a Wraith Prism cooler in an older computer I have so I decided to try one. Since it's not my primary computer I didn't want to spend very much. I shopped around and found the Assassin X120 Refined SE ARGB for less than $20! First of all, I don't know how they can sell these so cheap. Everything oozes quality, from the packaging, to the fan and heatsink itself. For $20 I expected it would just be thrown into a box with no padding. Wrong. It's packed very securely with lots of padding. Included are instructions and everything you need to install it, they even included the thermal paste! The instructions were very clear, making it one of the easiest CPU cooler installations I've ever done. The Assassin not only looks like it should be more than $20, it performs like it too. My idle temps (Ryzen 3700X) went from the 50ish degree range all the way down to 26-29 at 30% fan speed. Incredible performance for the money! The fan is also very nice with bright LEDs and isn't too loud. I'm blown away by this cooler. Thermalright has definitely won me over.
