This contact frame is the simple answer to AM5 mounting woes. Installation is a piece of cake. The included hardware is quality and the included thermal paste performs well. The anodized black color will work with virtually any setup. For those who are concerned, the backside of the contact frame has a thin non-conductive layer similar to the stock CPU backplate.

Although AM5 CPUs don't require contact frames as Intel CPUs do, it doesn't hurt to apply even pressure to the CPU's installation. Additionally, these will help prevent the thermal paste messes of old, where extra paste ends up in the little edges and corners of the AM5 IHS, and will be a pain to clean up later on. I have a few recommendations for installing these: 1) Watch the GamersNexus' video on the Intel version, which has a helpful installation demonstration section that is basically similar to the AM5 version. 2) Whatever cooler you are using, make sure to have the standoffs installation hardware installed BEFORE removing the original AM5 CPU retention mechanism, ESPECIALLY if you already have the system in the case like me. Otherwise, the AM5 backplate will fall off, and you will have more work ahead of you. Overall, does it's job well, looks cool, and helps with thermal paste cleanup and prevent messes. Highly recommended.

This product is great quality and easy to install, it takes less then 5 minutes to get it all install on your motherboard. The figment is extremely tight which works great and means it was cut to the cpu measurement. Great value for you money since you can easily clean up your cpu of old paste and makes for easy AIO installation as well.

First off it was easy to install, the quality for the price was a lot better than expected, it made my temps go down by 6 degrees and I sit in the mid 60s even under high load…. Plus I don’t have to worry about the motherboard bending

Outstanding product, a must have for any AM5 platform. I don't understand why this isn't OEM on all motherboards. Mnium of 5 degrees lower overall temps, at idle and at 100% usage. Same ambient temperatures and equipment for testing. EDIT 2 weeks later : I applied a small amount of paste to the outside edges where it makes contact with the CPU, resulting in another 2C minimum drop on average. Its not easy to do but it can be done and some of the test result showed an additional 4C reduction in CPU hotspot temperatures.
