For once something worked! It took about 15 minutes to take effect but once it did we really did see a difference. We use it in a 10x12 outdoor gazebo soft top with zippable netting. It still has various vent holes and if bug really want in they can get in, so we still had a major mosquito issue. Using one of these we went from getting eaten up to seeing only one in an hours time. Major differences. I cannot say how well this would work out in the open hence the 4 starts. The product works great in an enclosed area such as a screen room or a large tent.Haven’t tried it outside in the open yet so can’t really comment on that aspect of its use.The only drawback that I’ve noticed is it is sometimes difficult to get the butane to ignite(takes multiple attempts but only sometimes).Otherwise,when it’s working it does its job.Very portable,convenient and simple to use(other than the occasional igniting issue). ... show more

Would have given 5 stars but the blue insert (that holds the repellent) only lasts about 2 hours, not 4. However overall this is a good product and more effective than a lot of others I've tried (and I live in Florida with a pond nearby....)

We weren’t sure if thIs would work, but I purchased two to try out in hopes it would. We put them on each side of our 20 foot patio pad with our patio furniture in the middle. They seem to have worked perfect since we haven’t gotten a single bite since using it. When we sit on our smaller back door wood deck, we only use one of these and we got the same results. No bites! We’ve gotten plenty of bites when wandering around working in our yard, so we know the Skeeters are definitely active, just not where we have these working. Easier to start than I thought they would be too! ... show more

I literally stood next to this thing and got bitten about 12 times in five minutes. I was really really hoping it would work because I am clearly plagued by mosquitoes every summer.
