  • It works! Amazing mosquito reppelent for home and hikes, refills are pricy, but no real alternative
Style: Repeller
I've been using the Thermacell Mosquito Repellent EX90 on my patio here in NYC, and I've got to say, it's a game-changer for those cooler evenings when mosquitoes still want to crash the party. It really does keep the bugs away, and the best part? It's scent-free, so no more dealing with that typical bug spray smell. What I Like: It Works! No more swatting mosquitoes every five minutes. This device creates an invisible shield that keeps them at bay. Battery Life is Solid: It lasts through my entire evening outside—about 9 hours. Plus, it comes with a 12-hour refill. Super Portable: The rubber armor feels sturdy, and the carabiner clip is super handy. I've clipped it to my backpack for hikes with friends, and it's been great for keeping mosquitoes away from our group. What's Not So Great: Refill Costs: The refills can hit the wallet a bit hard unless you snag them on sale. Overall Thoughts: If you're tired of mosquitoes ruining your outdoor fun, the Thermacell EX90 is definitely worth checking out. It's easy to use, effective, and great for both home and outdoor adventures. Yes, the refills can be a bit pricey, but considering how well this thing works, I think it's a fair trade-off. I'm really glad I picked this up—it's made my outdoor hangouts a lot more pleasant. Highly recommend if you're in the market for a hassle-free way to keep those pesky mosquitoes away! ... show more

  • Odor-free mosquito relief!
Style: Repeller
Works as advertised! Odor free and mosquito free! I originally purchased this unit to use for hunting because the butane fuel versions that are traditionally marketed for this use do seem to have a little bit of an odor associated with the butane fuel source. I’ve had multiple friends express concerns over having been busted by deer while using the butane fueled Thermacell units, so I wanted to give this one a try. Since purchasing the unit, we have also used it while grilling and relaxing in our yard and the unit has proved to be invaluable here in middle Georgia. The charge easily lasts for 2-3 sits in the woods without any issues and I don’t need to worry about deer catching my scent. This would also be quite useful for those of us with family members that have very sensitive noses as they would be likely to find the odors from butane-fueled units to be offensive. The only downsides for hunting are that the unit automatically makes a beeping noise when you first turn it on and you ideally need to take out and cap the refill when moving the unit so that it does not leak if it happens to be on its side when being transported. It does not make noises throughout its use, so as long as you know to turn it on as soon as you get out, it’s a nonissue. The indicator lights also do a great job at letting me know how much battery is left and the unit itself is very safe, intuitive and easy to use. ... show more

  • Works well for mosquitos only
Style: Repeller
I was hoping that this would work against other bugs besides mosquitos, but at least it does a decent job against that. Depending on the size of your area, might need more than 1.

  • Works great!
Style: Repeller
Item works as described. No noise or smell. Easy instructions. Literally no bugs in the radius described. Rechargeable which is huge. Get extra inserts. They last about only 8 hours. Cool color lights too. Will buy again

  • It works with caveats
Style: Repeller
I really enjoyed this product and its ability to keep mosquitoes away from me. Just know that it seems to only be mosquitoes, so other small bugs will still be there. That is not a fault, just something to know. Know that, the smoke that comes out of the top as it burns the solution can vary widely on where it disperses and in which direction. So my guess is that the effective area is a moving target that varies widely. Especially if you are in a more windy place where the chemical may be dispersed more quickly and thus results in less efficacy. The battery takes forever to charge. And when I say forever, I mean hours. I have a Anket battery bank. That can run laptops, air pumps, charge multiple cell phones and tablets. And this device takes about as long as that does and has way less capacity. There needs to be an upgrade in the speed with which this charges. And in regards to charging time. There is no indicator how charged it is. All I need is a series of LEDs, which it has, that as they light up indicate how charged the device is. It makes no sense to not have that because I want to know how close I am to getting a full charge and how long it is taking. ... show more

  • So far this works very well
Style: Repeller
I have run this a few different ways, mostly on an elevated table but yesterday hooked it up the the umbrella while I gardened and was completely mosquito free in all areas! We do also have a pedego and I put one in there also. So one was in the middle of the property (umbrella by pool) one was on the far upper deck rt side of property and one was in the pedego (left side). No mosquitos at all and I live backed up to forest and wetlands. It was great, I did get a sting by some stupid horse fly while tending to the raised beds, but no mosquitos even all the way down into the orchard. It was great. I like to garden in my bikini, high boots, arm protectors/gloves but then when I get too hot from working I can pop into the pool to cool off. Helps a lot working in the heat and humidity down here tuff wearing long sleeves and pants for protection. Depends on what I am doing but I did that yesterday with this outside, bit of a wind so idk if that helped? I try to use mosquito repellants by all the doors also as we have two big dogs and a doggie dog. It seems to be helping in all areas, I have recharged it twice with no issues. I also purchased the refills. MUCH better and less expensive than spraying the property which does not really work here at all waste of money. I highly recommend this product. I am breathing easy using this when working and playing outside. Bye bye Benadryl. ... show more
