Buy this! What a fun project! I broke my ankle and wanted to use my time to learn something new, and this kit really delivered! The videos walk you through everything you need to know, pausing between each little step, so you don’t get lost. I chose the lion design to gift to my grandmother who is a Leo and unfortunately isn’t doing well. This particular design was more complex than I thought, and I did make a few mistakes, but the final product still looks decent if a tad lopsided! I felt very accomplished for my first ever stab at crochet and learned a great deal of stitches that I feel I can replicate on other projects. I appreciate the videos so much and being able to rewatch them to understand the particulars about how to construct various stitches. There was really only one complicated stitch step that I couldn’t quite figure out from the tutorial, but after creating 37 of the stitches to build the mane of the lion, I finally got the hang of it! Very cute, very bent toward success for beginners, user-friendly, clear, and encouraging! Saw this in a NYTimes Wirecutter article and was so glad it came across my screen when it did! I think the experience was worth the price!

I love Woobles! I bought this one as a raffle item and it was a big hit with the kids and teens! The price is a higher than other similar kits because it comes with a step by step videos, anll the materials you need including an hook, and it is pre-started. Great for beginners and super cute!

I LOVE Woobles. They have made learning how to crochet so easy to teach myself. The kit is so high quality especially the yarn. It doesn’t catch or fall apart like other brands I’ve tried. The instructions and videos are clear and easy to follow. Custom service is great if you need help. There is plenty of extra material. I’ve always had extra. I’d down 15-20 kits and never had any problems. They are worth the money and provide hours of entertainment. It is also very relaxing for anyone with anxiety.

I LOVE my woobles kits!! I was struggling so long to learn how to crochet, so I picked up one of these kits on a whim. It is so easy to use, super cute, and the included instructions are very clear. It literally taught me how to crochet when every other book and video I tried didn't work. I also think the quality of the yarn is nice, it's really easy to see your stitches when you're working on a project. It also ended up being the perfect gift for a friend - they wanted to learn how to crochet as well but didn't know where to start. It was a great gift and she loved it :) It's definitely worth the cost!

I had been thinking about getting into crocheting so when I saw this kit being advertised I decided I would finally give it a go and then see how we do from there to decide if this would be something for me hobby wise. The kit does come with everything you need, access to videos on how to kinda read the patterns if you come across this abbreviation for a knot and what it means, video demonstrations or just the pattern for you to read. In the beginning I thought this was really good and I loved the videos, but I slowly started to dislike it the furthur we went because at some point the videos will stop and it just directs you into the direction of "you are on your own now, fly little bird!" which made me panic because as a beginner it's like wait a minute don't just leave me half way! And then when it does leave you on your own it never tells you "OKAY this is what you should have in the end" which I think would have helped greatly to know because during alot of this process, I thought certain parts didn't look right, but I had nothing to know if I had done it right or not so i was left thinking just "trust the process I guess" Which I shouldn't have, because of course as a beginner you are going to make mistakes, it just is frustrating when you don't know it till it's too late. For me it was pretty much everything, but every mistake I made I just tried to figure out "how do I save this" I didnt realize till I had finished the LAST part of this kit (which is the mane) that I had messed up on the body I made him too chunky, so the mane didn't fit, I never figured out the ears because it didn't give me a video for it just instructions, but when I followed the instructions, it did not look at ALL even remotely like an ear or anything, and again nothing to show me this it should look, so i had to look at a completly different tutorial for that because one specific knot technique was tripping me up and it was apart of the ears and body. They show you a video on how to do it but not how to go from one different knot to the next, because you have to put the needle in specific locations with certain knots so I could only assume I was doing it right because again it never really tells you The videos are mostly also generic, I thought the videos would all be on how to make the lion, but that's not ALWAYS the case. When I had to attach the ears it showed me a video on how to attach a penguin beak. When I had to attach the snout it showed me how to attach a penguin white body part. When it was teaching me how to make the body it wasn't the lions body just generic to this is how you do this knot and this knot Which is, not helpful to me. You can say well it's just teaching you how to attach any part needed for any project but I would have liked as a beginner to know SPECIFICALLY how to attach these little lions parts. And or would have been NICE to know from the get go this should be the body! Messed up sewing in the snout and just had to figure it out, along with the nose because for the nose it teaches you where to put the needle in twice then speeds the video up saying "okay now fill it in" and I'm over here on the back like DONT SPEED IT UP HOW DO I FILL IN?!" And i just figured it out after messing up so much that I couldn't undo or take back where I put the needle so just had to commit. Overall the kit is great for giving you all the stuff needed for the project and good for teaching you how to do the different techniques and knots. As a step by step guide on how to make this character..not so much..Unless you have some experience prior I'm sure it's easy peasy but for beginner it will be alot of trial and error and just commiting through with mistakes and just trying to work around the issue. Its still fun, just don't get discouraged and keep at it. I would probably recommend getting the penguin set since there seems to be more videos on him if you want more of a step by step video guide, but if you are okay with learning the basics and just going on your own then I think this is good

If you’re learning to crochet or want to learn how to crochet, I cannot recommend this enough! This kit comes with everything you need (literally) so all you have to do is open it. If you’re a visual learner it comes with a QR code to scan for a video tutorial and goes slowly step by step! I found this the most helpful and it really got me into crocheting. It also has a normal pattern page if you want to try on your own or prefer to read the pattern! Super cute and makes for a great gift. There’s so many different Woobles to choose from too, so the variety is great (for example there’s a penguin, aliens, holiday themed ones such as a reindeer, and more)! Seriously get it

My daughter really got into these kits which I find terribly expensive. Thankfully I’ve been able to find very similar off brand ones that she likes and that saves me some cash now. The teaching method is something you either love or hate. I personally find it infuriating. My 11 year old asks me to step in and help her at times and I find it really annoying to know the pattern to step in and help her. It seems the Woobles folds don’t want to give a cohesive pattern to follow, maybe out of fear of it being duped. The patterns are actually duped online in places like ravelry if you’re okay not using this yarn. You could buy the Woobles yarn separately as well if you like the yarn. I don’t like the yarn, i think it feels terrible to work with. It kinda sticks to the hook. It is easier to see the stitches I suppose if you don’t get the yard too tight. It is a really easy yarn to make to tight though, which is where my daughter gets into trouble sometimes. The kit doesn’t give you much to spare in case of mess-ups. They don’t want people making multiples from one kit. Overall, the kits are helping my daughter, but I think there is a lot of room for improvement and improving customer satisfaction and getting repeat purchases.
