The moment I opened the package, I knew this was the yarn for my next project: a finger-knit jumbo, chunky, comfy blanket. 🧶 Texture: Cloud-soft. It genuinely feels like hugging a plush toy. 🧶 Thickness: Perfectly chunky — makes finger knitting incredibly easy and satisfying. 🧶 Quality: No shedding (thank goodness — no lint roller required). 🧶 Ease of use: Very beginner-friendly. I don’t know how to traditionally knit, so this is perfect for anyone who wants to finger knit a jumbo, chunky blanket. I chose the white color because it matches perfectly with my white sofas and feels practical for a home with dogs. I used this HouseABC chunky yarn for a small blanket project, and overall it’s pretty decent for the price. The biggest positive is how soft and fluffy it feels. It has that classic chenille texture, so it’s comfortable and looks really cozy once it’s worked up. It’s also beginner-friendly—the thickness makes it easy to handle and projects come together quickly. It’s basically made for hand knitting or big, simple projects like blankets and cushions. () On the downside, it’s not the highest quality yarn out there. Like a lot of chunky chenille yarns, it can shed a bit and doesn’t always feel perfectly consistent throughout. I also noticed it can be a little slippery when forming loops, which can make it slightly harder to control if you’re new. () Another thing to keep in mind is the yardage isn’t huge per skein, so you’ll likely need more than you think for bigger projects. Wow! That color, though! Strangely enough, i kind of like the orange! Because of the level of vacuum seal on the package, the yarn is especially squished and takes extra effort to fluff. Because i'm making a stuffed dinosaur, the fluffiness level isn't as imperative. So far, there are very few threads hanging on the yarn and i have not found any bare spots on what i have used. I did not wash the yarn so i can't speak to how the color lasts, but i did not notice any dye stain on the plastic it wasnin like i have with other strong colors. I have not used this brand before so i was hesitant to purchase. I am very pleasantly surprised with the quality and the price. ... show more

If i could give a negative star i would this yarn used to be one of my favorites since its a pefect shade of orange for a popular blanket i sell. The last several times ive ordered it has been VERY thin and not soft at all. I have it next to another brand that is the same “thickness” as this brand claims to be.
