I have mixed emotions about this book. While it is loaded with excellent information I was quite disappointed with the quality of the photos as well as the paper stock and color of ink chosen for its pages. Photos are soft, and nothing “pops.” Boring is the word that comes to mind. This is not what I expected from a book bearing a 2020 publication date and a price tag of $85.00. As icing on the cake, there is no index at the back of the book. To me that takes it out of the realm of a good research tool. While I am not going to return this book, all I can say is, if I had seen it in person before buying it, I would not have purchased it. However, to be fair, if you want lots of details about older Rolex models, then you will probably like the book. It’s just not for me. ... show more

This book has the history and types vintage Rolex watches covered and at a reasonable price. Also, historical tidbits - who knew Fidel Castro loved the GMT? Highly recommended.

I am an enthusiast and writer on the watch industry. This book is absolutely incredible when it comes to vintage Rolex. The author provides insightful graphics and enjoyable pictures. He covers the history of the brand and the personalities involved. The Chevalier edition is in hard cover and the graphics are very well done. This will be an important member of my watch library for years to come. Bravo, buy it if you can find it :) :) ... show more
