NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • From bestselling author Gina Homolka comes the must-have air fryer cookbook, featuring 75 quick and easy recipes that deliver on Skinnytaste’s signature “light on calories, big on flavor” promise. Gina Homolka is beloved for her incredible recipes that transform your favorite, comforting foods into healthy, low-cal dishes with tons of flavor. Now she brings her expertise to the game-changing air fryer appliance. Using high- powered, super-hot circulating air like a convection oven, air fryers crisp up your favorite "fried" foods with barely any oil needed. Cook times are shorter than traditional oven methods and the process requires little clean-up. In The Skinnytaste Air Fryer Cookbook, Gina shares 75 of her best recipes that work in every type of air fryer, including basket models and countertop ovens with air fryer settings. You'll of course find crave-worthy recipes for traditionally fried foods, such as Chicken-Vegetable Spring Rolls, Crispy Coconut Shrimp, Za’atar Chickpeas, and Pickle-Brined Chicken Tenders, but Gina also shows you how versatile the appliance can be. Perfectly roasted meats and vegetables like Korean Pork Lettuce Wraps, Roasted Fish with Lemon-Almond Crumbs, Sugar and Spice Acorn Squash, and Charred Sesame Green Beans, along with baked goods like Homemade Bagels and Cinnamon Rolls with Cream Cheese Icing, are all executed beautifully in the compact air fryer. For those of us with a sweet tooth, The Skinnytaste Air Fryer Cookbook even offers low-cal desserts, including Churros, Very Berry Mini Pie, and Baked Apples with Streusel Topping. Many dishes are vegetarian, gluten-free, and keto- friendly—all called out with helpful icons—and every recipe includes nutritional information (with the most up-to-date Weight Watchers points found on the blog). • Excellent
Format: Hardcover
It took me forever to find a good cookbook for a basket Air Fryer but finally found this one which fit the bill perfectly. It is full of wonderful, easy recipes using ingredients you normally have in your kitchen, unlike some books that call for ingredients I've never heard of. The beginning has a nice intro about Air Fryer basics. Amazingly enough it also has a conventional oven cooking chart in case you want to make any of the recipes in your oven instead of the Air Fryer which is nice in case you are cooking several items that need to be baked so you can chose which cooking method you want for each dish. Unlike many AF cookbooks that call for every cooking method imaginable instead of AF's, every recipe in this book is for basket AF's. Also included in each recipe are directions for adapting to a toaster-oven-style AF. Many recipes also have little added suggestions for making them gluten-free, skinny, dairy-free, etc. Added bonus: most of the recipes have lovely color pictures. This book is hard back and the quality of the paper is extremely nice. This book is worth every penny. I am a very experienced cook but new to Air Fryers. Before this, I purchased several five-star books that were simply awful but after receiving this, I stopped looking any further. I would highly recommend this cookbook for both beginners and experienced AF cooks. ... show more

  • Air fryer cookbook
Format: Hardcover
We purchased this book for a friend. We liked ours so much we gifted this one. Skinnytaste cookbooks are definitely good recipes. They are made several different ways. The author keeps everyone in mind when she makes her recipes. Look up Skinnytaste online and read her recipes and read all the different ways she talks about and you will purchase all her cookbooks. They also make great gifts. ... show more

  • See my review on the Skinny Taste Air Fryer Dinner page referencing this one (I bought both)
Format: Hardcover
I broke down and bought 3 air fryer books this week, 2 of which were by Gina Homolka. I prefer the Air Fryer Dinners book because it has more global, eclectic recipes which I prefer. The Air Fryer Cookbook is still good, but more "comfort food" flavors which might appeal to some. The Air Fryer Cookbook also contains sections on Breakfasts, Appetizers, and Desserts. I probably won't use the Breakfasts and Desserts sections very much, but I wish there was an entire book dedicated to air fryer appetizers. That is something I could get behind as I really liked the 15 that Ms. Homolka included in this book. The biggest concern I have about this book is that these are not necessarily "quick" recipes: There's a lot of dredging and breading in panko (I hate tediiousness of this and the mess this makes), a salmon burger recipe that requires a food processor, and even a chicken tender recipe that requires an 8hr brine in pickle juice. No, the book doesn't claim that the recipes are fast and easy, but I guess when it comes to using the air fryer, I usually choose to do so because it's a shortcut to cooking and not just because it's a lighter option that uses less oil. I would've loved it if her salmon burger recipe just opted for canned salmon instead. There's some great canned salmon out there that's packed in water, healthy, and sustainable! I would much prefer to go that route than chopping off a slab of a fresh salmon filet and hauling out my food processor. If I'm going to do that, then I might as well fire up our pellet grill and cook the burgers outside! Update May 7, 2024: So far I've made the Shrimp Empanadas, the Shrimp Tacos, and the Cauli Buffalo bites. The empanadas were great but not a quick recipe, tacos were excellent, and the cauli bites were "meh." ... show more

  • Beautifully Photographed, Well-Written, Easy, Delicious Recipes for the Air Fryer!
Format: Hardcover
The Skinnytaste Air Fryer Cookbook is detailed, well-written and beautifully photographed. The recipes included are easily adapted to the type of air fryer you own; I've just tweaked the cook time slightly. The ingredients are exactly what I have in my pantry -- nothing extravagant or pricey. I've made many of the recipes and they are so easy and delicious! If you want to make these recipes in the oven instead of the air fryer, there is a Conventional Oven Cooking Chart in the back of the book to convert the recipes for oven use. The Skinnytaste Air Fryer Cookbook is now my top pick to give as a wedding gift along with the air fryer. Another great cookbook from Gina is Skinnytaste One and Done--140 no-fuss dinners using either an Instant Pot, slow cooker, air fryer, sheet pan, skillet, or Dutch oven. Thank you Gina for these wonderful cookbook. ... show more

  • Awesome cookbook Awesome cookbook
Format: Hardcover
I have made 2 recipes out of this book so far and am very very impressed. The book itself arrived quickly and was not damaged. I am doing noom (a low calorie diet) and wanted to find more things to make that I could have. Many of the recipes are under 400 calories which is perfect for one of my small meals. I made the baked apple in the book (168 calories per serving) and it was super super good for a small treat I also made the breakfast bagel pocket thing (305 calories) and man, that thing was massive and delicious! I haven’t had anything bagel like in so long and it really hit the spot. I am looking forward to checking out more of these recipes and the ones I did were easy and relatively quick. The directions were great and broke everything down into easy steps. I liked that everything was smaller batches too because I get bored with leftovers after the 2nd or 3rd time eating them. ... show more

  • great recipes awful measurement
Format: Hardcover
I love this cookbook because the recipes are tasty. I gave it a 3 instead of a 5 because I want people to pay attention to the fact that you need to adjust your recipes. I have made seven recipes from this book so far, all delicious. However, after the second one, I realized how off the measurements are. Example - the pumpkin bread. Unless the author's pans are 2 inches by 2 inches, they no way make more than 2.5 mini loaves with the recipe in the book. I would say the poppers are the same way; unless the jalapenos are pinky size, you will not get many with the measurements. Order it for the taste but be prepared to adjust. ... show more

  • Very useful air fry cookbook
Format: Spiral-bound
I ordered both the original air fry cookbook and the newer air fry dinner book. They don’t duplicate any recipes and both have very good recipes that turn out great even if you alter some ingredients. I was quite unfamiliar with air frying and Gina Holmoka’s books helped me understand the concept, the essential steps, and her recipes gave me the confidence to tackle additional foods not in her books. I would recommend to anyone who, like me, needed a guide to air frying. The recipes are basically foolproof. ... show more
