  • One of the best training devices ever
My original Tour Striker ball broke when I pulled too hard on the lanyard trying to get the device free of an obstruction. I didn't even think about getting a new one since I think it is one of the most effective golf training devices ever made. I ordered that same day. I had had the prior one for something like 10 years. ... show more

  • Better than the elastic swing tools
I have the elastic swing tool that holds your arms together to perform a similar idea. This is much better as your arms aren't restricted between swings and you have to perform it for yourself. Very good for consistent ball striking. My only complaint is that this tool is pretty expensive.

  • Pricey - but very helpful
Great concept and it absolutely helps with proper swing techniques - especially with irons and even your putter. I just think it is a tad pricey for what the material is made of and there are probably knock-offs out there that are cheaper. Having said that, I would definitely buy it again.

  • Training aid working like it says
Excellent training aid and has helped to improve my ball striking

  • Fragile product
Good product in theory. And helpful as a swing aid. I had to return the first Smart Ball because it developed a slow leak within 2 weeks of use. A second ball was sent. Within 3 weeks, that also developed a slow leak. Not worth the money, unfortunately. Now returning the 2nd ball. Also, don't trust the reviews on their website.. I've sent my review to them twice. They refuse to post it. Update: I have been taking online lessons. My teacher talked me into trying the Smart Ball a 3rd time. I did. Stupid me. Same thing. It sprung multiple leaks within 4-5 uses. When you contact them about this issue, they instruct you to locate the leak(s) by putting the ball in water, and recommend repairing it using super glue. These instructions are actually in print on their site. That's how often it happens. My 3rd ball has now been repaired in 5 different spots. AVOID THIS PRODUCT AT ALL COSTS! ... show more

  • Creats arm width
I was skeptical, but looking for a way to keep from getting stuck in my swing, especially with my driver. I started chipping on the carpet and after a few minutes was able to hit some crisp chips. Best of all it keeps me from cupping my left wrist. Took what I learned to the range and no more getting stuck and no more duck hooks. Worth the price? Debatable, but I consider it money well spent ... show more

  • Not worth it. Build your own instead.
Does it work? Yes, the training concept is great and provided noticeable improvement for me from the beginning. What’s wrong with it? Cheaply constructed and not durable, particularly at this steep price point. I find it difficult to believe that the item is patented as claimed in the product description since the item is essentially an inflatable ball attached to a lanyard. What alternatives are there? Build your own using a lanyard, small inflatable ball and moving tape, all of which can be had inexpensively on Amazon. Or, buy one of the many cheaper alternatives available on Amazon, which appear to be roughly the same quality at a fraction of the price. ... show more

  • Personally I like it and I think it'll enable me to improve ...
This will help you train to keep your forearms together through the downswing. It takes some practice to get used to it. It can help you get rid of a "chicken wing" on your downswing. The product itself is very simply made, an inflatable bladder and and adjustable tether. The price is high for the the materials involved and with a little effort you might make it yourself. It is a device to be repeatably practiced with to get results. Personally I like it and I think it'll enable me to improve my swing and my power. ... show more
