The top absorbent layer can soak up to 10x its weight while the waterproof layer underneath keeps your floors clean. When your music session is over, fold The Spit Catcher into the integrated waterproof pocket on the back or elastic strap. This will keep the inside of your case dry as well. The Spit Catcher is infused with SILVADUR 930 Antimicrobial, a polymer-based antimicrobial that inhibits the growth of bacterial odors. The antimicrobial properties are only for the protection of the product and do not protect users or others against bacteria, viruses, germs, or other disease organisms. I guess I felt like maybe buying a rag would make me feel like a better trumpet player. It ended up not really improving my playing. But it is a more sanitary and neat place to drain the moisture from my horn while playing rather than the floor or a rug or something. Not moldy or stinky or anything. Works great. ... show more

Perfect size, looks classy (instead of the old washcloth I used to use), very absorbent, evaporates quick, and it has a rubberized backing that doesn't leak. Also can fold up into itself so you can pop it into your pocket without getting wet!

I was a bit sketchy at first but decided to give this little spit catcher mat a shot. Honestly I was not expecting how well it works and how well it is able to hold up in the wash. (Been washed 5 times already) and it still looks practically new. I mostly got it because I live in a small studio that has carpet and I needed something to take out the spit from my instrument without getting up and emptying it from the restroom. As far as oder or any another unpleasant surprise that may arise from usage back to back. I cannot find any as this little mat holds well and I can say I will definitely buy again in the future. ... show more

This is an excellent product, especially now when we are all trying to do a better job keeping germs to ourselves. The towel is thin enough to not be too noticeable, but is still very absorbent. At the end of rehearsal, the floor under the towel is completely dry and I can just roll the towel up and into itself to store it safely until I do laundry. Works for intended purpose but VERY slippery on a hard wood floor and not really big enough to use easily. Needs to be bigger and needs some sort of grippy surface on bottom to hold in one place
