This jacket is gorgeous, I got it in the Mocha Brown and I am in love with the color. It goes really well with blonde hair and a fair complexion. The jacket itself is super soft, lightweight, but warm. I live in NYC, and paired with a fuzzy sweater it kept me warm in some very cold weather. When all my friends were freezing, I was just fine. It's got a forgiving fit, it's not tight, which allows me to layer it with both a base layer and a thick sweater, and it really holds all that heat in. I go camping a lot as well, which is why I originally got it, but I'm finding myself choosing it again and again - over all my other city jackets - because it is such a good insulator and it's really cute to boot. This jacket is everything I hoped for from North Face: lightweight, warm, flattering, and extremely practical for everyday wear. I ordered the Medium, and the fit is spot-on — it has just enough room for a light sweater underneath without feeling tight or restrictive. The shaping is really nicely done; it gently follows the body without clinging and avoids that stiff, boxy look that some insulated jackets have. The ThermoBall insulation surprised me with how warm it is for such a thin profile. It traps heat well but never feels heavy, so it’s perfect for running errands, being active outdoors, or going in and out of the car. It’s warm enough for chilly Midwest fall days and even mild winter temperatures when layered. The material has a slight sheen and looks high-quality in person. The zipper is smooth and sturdy, and the pockets are deep enough to hold a phone, keys, or gloves comfortably. One thing I love is how packable it is — you can fold or roll it into a small space, and it always bounces back without looking rumpled. This jacket strikes the perfect balance between functional and stylish. If you like outerwear that is warm but not bulky and works for daily life, travel, and layering, this is an ideal piece. Oh man... Ok, I never splurge on branded things - ever, really... but, I saw this and loved the color and could tell it was thicker than my Patagonia (still love it but its much thinner)... I normally wear a small but I sized up so I could wear it over bulkier sweaters... This is just as nice and fitted as my Patagonia - different texture for sure on the outside - but really like the almost metallic sheen of this brown color. I like that it has the little elastic pull cinches on the bottom rim to tighten it up if you don't want it as loose on the bottom. I have owned nothing North Face before and I really like this - did not have a photo of myself wearing it outside but its very cozy and offers a lot of protection from the wind. I don't like wearing a lot of bulky, wool, stuff in the winter - I would rather do thin layers for sure and this aligns with that philosophy; I have black everything else so adding this brown to go with brown Bean boots is *perfect!*. ... show more

I absolutely love this jacket! The North Face ThermoBall Insulated Jacket is incredibly warm for how lightweight it is! It amazed me the moment I tried it on. It’s perfect for layering or wearing on its own, and it will keep me comfortable even on colder days. One of my favorite features is how packable it is. It folds down so easily, making it perfect for traveling or tossing in a bag without taking up space. I’ve owned many North Face coats and jackets over the years, and this one definitely keeps up with the brand’s reputation for high-quality outerwear. The mocha brown color is beautiful, the fit is spot-on, and the craftsmanship is exactly what I expect from TNF. Definitely a great value for the money and even better if you catch it on sale.. I’m obsessed with this jacket!!! So happy I found it in this color. I thought brown would not be the right color for me but I was wrong! I have already gotten so many compliments even from random people on it. It is lightweight so it is not for too cold of weather. We live in the South where it still gets decently cold so this was perfect for me! So happy and cannot recommend it enough! ... show more

This is the perfect jacket. It keeps me completely warm in some of the coldest weather Texas can throw at me. And I can wear it on cool days that aren’t too sunny also. This is a genuine north face product so you know that the zippers and material is top notch.
