  • The Perfect Sleeping Companion
Color: Granite Grey/Dust Orange Size: Standard
I ordered this for my son's 6th grade camp and honestly, it worked out way better than expected. I didn't want something bulky or complicated, just something reliable that he could carry and that would actually keep him warm. I wanted something that would be easy for him to manage on his own, and this checked all the boxes. It is very lightweight, he had to carry his own gear, and this didn't add a ton of extra weight, which was super important for us. It also packs down nicely into the stuff sack without a struggle. If you have every tried putting a sleeping bag back into its bag, you know the struggle and this matters a lot. Warm wise, it did its job. The nights at camp were chilly but he said he stayed comfortable and warm the whole time. I also like that it has a full zipper so that he could adjust it if it got too warm, he tends to run a little hot, so that flexibility helped a lot. The material is very durable and still soft enough to be comfortable. I would definitely use it again for future trips or even family camping. Very portable and lightweight, easy to use. ... show more

  • Watch Your Height/Sizing
Color: Granite Grey/Dust Orange Size: Standard
I got the standard and didn’t realize that the maximum height is 6’. Check the size recommendation in the listing. This is very lightweight so it will be very easy to transport. The sleeping bag is very soft and comfortable but doesn’t have a lot of “fluff”. It is mummy style but there is room to move around. Definitely North Face quality and due to its size, easy for sleepovers and school trips. It’s easy to compress to get it in the bag, too, without having to fold a certain way. ... show more

  • Solid initial impressions
Color: Granite Grey/Dust Orange Size: Standard
I run much colder than the average person, so I tested this out based off of my typical experience. I have a very high quality down sleeping bag that's rated for 15F but for me, is adequate for only as low as the 30-40F range, therefore, with this bag being rated for 35F, I got this sleeping bag anticipating that it may suit my needs for a summer/shoulder season option, for when nights go down to the 50's or 60's F. I cannot speak to how well this would work for a regular thermoregulating person at 35F. Since it has been single digits outside this winter for weeks now, and will remain quite cold at night for the foreseeable future, I gave this bag a test run in my attic loft space that isn't connected to central heating and has been holding temperatures in the 50's when the space heater is off. For how thin and light it is, it kept me quite warm over the course of the night (wearing a long sleeve sleep tee and leggings). I love the center zip design - makes it easy to pop both arms out and ventilate evenly when it gets too warm. The cinchable hood is great for keeping the head warm. Even though it's a mummy design, I had enough room to keep one leg bent, which is how I like to sleep. The bag rolls up and fits easily back in the provided stuff sack. Happy with the initial test run and looking forward to taking this outdoors once it gets warm. ... show more

  • good quality
Color: Granite Grey/Dust Orange Size: Standard
I got this The North Face Stormbreak 35 sleeping bag, and it’s been a solid choice for camping and backpacking trips. The insulation keeps it comfortable around the 35°F range, and the water-repellent exterior adds extra peace of mind in damp conditions. It packs down easily into the included stuff sack and doesn’t take up much space. Performance has been reliable, with consistent warmth and good overall comfort through the night. The materials feel durable, the zipper works smoothly, and the fit is comfortable without feeling restrictive. Overall, it’s a well-made sleeping bag that offers dependable performance and good value for cool-weather adventures. ... show more
