This is the nicest jacket I've ever owned! It's thin, yet extremely warm! Waterproof and windproof, and exceptional quality! I can't, however, justify the price of the thing, though.. For me PERSONALLY, I don't believe in paying such a huge premium just for the sake of a name/brand.. But, to each, their own! And for some people, brand is everything! For me, though, this is a well crafted jacket, and is far warmer than it's thinness and weight would suggest, which is absolutely magical in that regard! Sizes run BIG, so, if you normally wear a Large, I'd order a medium! Unless you live in a cold region and you buy jackets with the expectation of having multiple layers underneath, in which case, stay with a large. For the majority of people, though, I recommend going a size smaller than what you'd usually buy! ... show more

I've never bought North Face because it's so expensive. When I saw this jacket was available I thought my husband or son might like it. It's a nice jacket if you're into expensive trash bags. I say this because the tag says it's made of recycled material, and it feels like a thick trash bag. I'm not sure how it keeps you warm. I know everyone says it does. However, it's really thin for a puffer jacket and to be so expensive. As far as the fit, the description says men. However, my husband normally wears a large, so I ordered a large and it fit snuggly. The tag says regular fit. I think this might be junior sizes. I normally wear a small in women's but it wasn't huge on me. I tried it on before my husband got home. I thought there was no way it would fit him. He could wear it but with a sweater on it might be too tight. The arms are very long. That's a positive if my son ends up wearing it. I would say the style of this jacket is more like a wind breaker than a puffer jacket. I will say, the stitching is nice and it does feel pretty durable. It also has draw strings around the waist which is always a plus. I took one star off because, more than anything, I think it's a thin cheap jacket with an expensive name tag, and the size. ... show more

This North Face hooded jacket is warm enough for cold fall days or milder winter days. It's "water resistant" material is good for snow and light rain but will start to absorb water after some time. The quality of this jacket is perfect. There are no loose strings, out of alignment sewing, or anything else. Top notch. It's true to size so order your normal jacket size know that this will fit and fit comfortably. It's extremely comfortable and looks great as well. Value for money could be a bit better but you are paying for the name that is synonymous with quality, comfort, and durability. I love all the pockets, cinch cords, and the fact you can scan a QR code to recycle the jacket when you are done. Overall, this is awesome and highly recommended. 5/5 ... show more

This is a very comfortable and attractive jacket. For some reason, the arms seem really long. It was that way on all of my boys (3) who tried it on, but one just rolled the sleeve up a bit and moved on. But it's still a bit of an odd thing worthy of mention I think. The material is lightweight but quite warm, and it has the feel that you expect from a puffer-style jacket. It compresses nicely for packing and it is very well made. All of the stitching is nice and even and the logo is prominent on the front and the back of this nice hooded water-resistant jacket. The blue color is a very attractive deep navy and the hood does a nice job of protecting your head from cold or other elements. ... show more
