I decided to return this not because it's a flawed product, but because I don't think it could handle what I intend to use it for: downpours. In Hawaii, sometimes the rain would come down hard and I wanted a quality jacket that can withstand that type of weather. This is purely based on others review, but I had decided to go with Patagonia's Torrentshell. Aside from purpose, it felt very comfortable to wear and extremely breathable. The fit was almost perfect, as I'm a little on the bigger side for a medium. It looks great as well. The product itself is very well designed. I have always been a very big fan of The North Face products. I no longer own a simply well designed rain coat however; I own a political statement. I don't really care what political statement it is as I don't want to wear ANY type of "statement". I simply want to wear clothing, not a political or social statement. I have replaced all my North Face gear and will NEVER buy another item from a large name brand company because non of them seem to be able to just take the cash and not get involved in various agendas. Again, don't care what the agenda is, I simply want a coat, not an argument starter. Just stay out of politics and social positions. I refuse to purchase any item that has any political or social nonsense attached to it. Understand that you have now made this part of your product. You have basically added a component to your products that requires the wearer to support whatever position you are supporting. I wanted to stay dry from the rain but not at the cost of virtue signaling to ANY group of people. So, welcome to capitalism I guess. I will now be buying only noname, off brand stuff from now on.
