This jacket is really nice and of good quality. For size reference I am 34D, 26in waist, 5'4 inches and 123lbs. This hits right at my hip above my butt. I ordered the grey color, and it is as described and looks like it does in the pictures. This is not exactly a loose-fitting jacket and is more on the slim/fitted side in my opinion, but I like it. There is ample room in the hood to cover your whole head. The only thing I will mention aside from the quality material and jacket itself, was that it came smelling very much so like chemicals and was actually wet. The tag was moist and soaked in some unidentifiable substance that was similar to Windex. No idea what this was but it was unpleasant and warranted the jacket to be washed right away. I will say that it held up nicely in the wash and a tumble dry low setting in the dryer. ... show more

I bought this jacket in the Small, Smoked Pearl color and have been really happy with it. The fit is true to size with enough room for a light sweater underneath, and the hood adds extra warmth on windy or chilly days. I'm 6' tall, 173, with an athletic build guy, and ordered the women's small gray jacket. The women's jackets fit athletic guys much better than the mens, and still allow plenty of room to layer clothing underneath it, if you order up one size. I have a small and large in the women's, and the only difference is the small allows room for a single shirt underneath, and the large allows for a hoodie type sweatshirt underneath the jackets. Otherwise, the fits are very similar and both have a lower back to the jacket than the front. The jacket material is basically air filled pockets between the inside and outside layers, which holds heat really well, but doesn't hold moisture within. The jacket does have two pull cords on the bottom of the jacket, to prevent air from entering from below. Both pockets are zippered, and the main jacket zipper is of great quality and made of metal. Overall, I've never had one complaint about a single North Face item I've ordered, and this jacket lives up to the high quality of the rest of the clothing I own. ... show more

This jacket fit my 2 youngest kids. The jacket was a little big for my 8 yr old but still okay, it fit my 10 yr old perfectly. From armpit to armpit it is about 18 3/8". The length from top of the shoulder to the bottom is 26". The only thing I didn't really like is that the jacket doesn't have a separate cuff for the wrist area. The end of the sleeve is the cuff as the elastic band is on the inside of the wrist area. The jacket is warm and gets hot. It's not really breathable because it's made from recycled polyester. My kids do like the jacket though. Better for winter time. ... show more

The North Face is a famous outdoor brand with decades of delivering high-quality Gear for adventures and outdoorsman. They have a great return policy and stand behind everything they do. This is the North Face Aconcagua hooded jacket that is a thick, comfortable jacket made for cold weather. This is 100% recycled polyester shell that is water repellent and super wind resistant so it’s great for skiing, hiking, or being out in the cold weather. It weighs less than 10 ounces and has 600 fill down and synthetic insulation on the inside, which is thick and puffy. This is designed as a midweight jacket to keep you warm but also have great movability. The lady in the photos is 5’ tall and 95 pounds and is a small size. It fits her well although perhaps it’s a little large and she rolled up the cuffs an inch which seemed to work fine. It’s thick and comfortable and allows easy movement. You could roll this and put it in a compression sack to put in your pack or suitcase for easier travel. Great brand, great design and high-quality materials make this jacket a winner that will keep you warm for many years. ... show more
