  • Tldr: some assembly required and some small quality control issues.
The media could not be loaded. I wanna say that unlike the original avatar: the last airbender (or legend of aang in pal regions) avatar: the legend of korra is a decent show. Its plagued with issues being the fact that each season was added after the previous seasons production meaning there's no real over arching story as they made each season like it was the last. There also shorter then the original shows seasons as it was intended as a more shorter one season show. This is the heart of the problem. Nick also made very poor decisions as well. Moving the show and cutting costs. If you go into the show with these in mind after watching the original then you can see the greatness and potential underneath. By no means is it a bad show, just not a good one and it has good reason why. If it was given the proper funding, planning, and room it would have been just as good if not better. Tho the show in it form now is still amazing and is definitely a must have. Now the steelbook. The quality as mentioned by other reviews had me disappointed but then in my own hands I have to say, its not as bad as they make it. Its still high quality and is still great. The only thing that aren't great is the card board box holder thing.(but the original steel book box wasn't much better) Great art But card board is not a good material. One thing you'll see is the inside peices are floppy and all over the place. This isn't because its less quality, its because its not fully assembled. In the pictures (and baldy taken video) you'll see that after pulling it out there are tabs and these just need to be folded and tucked between the cardboard and card stock and its very secure after that. The books themselves. If your lucky then these will be the same quality as the original, if your not then they'll be a little loose like mine. Tho its not that big of an issue. One big complaint I have is that the big multi case artwork is not aligned correctly. Meaning the art on the cases doesn't even look like its one art peice. But it is. Really these are factory quality control issues. I have alot of pictures of what I talk about. Plus a badly taken video showing the cardboard being put together. As this is the collectors version im rating it on the package itself. Three for the art. One for the build quality. I'm taking one star off for the fact you have to assemble it yourself. And for quality control issues. ... show more

  • One of the best cartoon shows out there
This was a truely lovely package. But, only includes the Legend of Korra. It is up to you whether or not these Steelbook collections are worth the extra cost over the Normal Complete edition which includes both The Last AirBender and The Legend of Korra.

  • I love me a good steelbook set
The steel cases this set comes in are both beautiful and sturdy. The artwork on them is awesome and my kid loves to look at them while watching the show. One issues is that you dont know what each CD actually contains, so I went in thinking "Bluray 1 is the show, Bluray 2 is the extras". To my surprise it seems like they split each season up over the course of two Blurays which makes binge watching a season annoying. Why they didnt just keep the extras to a bluray and the series to the other is confusing. This leads me to my next point, which is now I dont know whats on each bluray. The back of the cardboard box it comes in lets us know the extras that are contained in the book, but if I wanted to watch a specific one then I need to go digging. Overall, how they put the content no the blurays is annoying, but other than that its a nice set of a series that I find enjoyable. ... show more

  • The production quality of this steelbook set is indicative of the show's troubled history
Now that I received an actual version of the set that isn't horribly dented and completely broken, I've come to the logical conclusion that the production quality for this set went completely out of the window in comparison to the Last Airbender one. If you think about it, that actually parallels how both series were handled. One of them is a true masterclass of animated art which all people young and old will appreciate and love and will no doubt be use as a subject in universities for centuries to come when referring to good examples of storytelling, animation theory, dialogue, character development, and sound design. The other was mistreated to a near draconian degree (changing animation studios to save money, moving it out of the saturday morning lineup, underfunding it, taking it off the air mid-season with no announcement that it would be moving online, etc.) and written off through taxes as a financial failure by Nick (which means it can't be aired on US TV networks legally). ... show more

  • Great collector’s item for fans of The Avatar Franchise!
We all know the Legend of Korra is a fantastic addition to the Avatar universe so I’m going to focus more on the item rather than the series. The box itself is made of cardboard with somewhat flimsy dividers inside that shift around when the cases are removed. This is really my only complaint but it is definitely a bummer. The cases themselves are gorgeous and very sturdy. Inside there is plastic holding the disks in, which works well, and there is unique art on the inside of each case, though it is subtle. The disks themselves are all the same in appearance however. All in all, I am super pleased with this purchase and I am glad Korra is getting the recognition she deserves with this gorgeous set! ... show more

  • Best Avatar Series and Great Steelbook
The Legend of Korra is an amazing, and canon! Series for those of us who can enjoy things for what they are instead of annoyingly feeling the need to constantly compare it to Avatar The Last Airbender. I love that Korra is a kickass lgbt bipoc character who is outspoken and confident. The art for TLOK is the best of any modern day cartoon, and the music is on another level. The steelbook itself has beautiful art, but the outer box definitely came with some damage, but it's ignorable since I will be displaying the steelbooks individually anyway. Love the show, glad I got the steelbooks. Watch the show yourself and don't let negative and ignorant comments about it ruin your enjoyment! ... show more

  • Not good for a collection seem to come damaged
Don't order it offline if you can, unless you want it damaged. I got one with a broken case and dents all over. I just got the replacement and can hear one of the disk is out of place and fell out of place just shares around. I don't want to open then because I got it for my collection.
