Ok I rarely give books five stars but this book kept me up till almost two am because I couldn’t put it down. Alissandru was handsome sexy and rich, the man was gorgeous and he hated Isla because of her sister. I don’t want to tell you the story because I don’t want to spoil it. The story doesn’t have one boring page in it. The story doesn’t have endless pages of internal dialogue. I loved that every lose end was nicely tied by the end. I loved that I laughed out loud reading this story and I had to tell my daughter why, Isla’s little dog bit Alissandru and his mother picked up the dog and checked his teeth to make sure he was okay. The story was perfect, like life it was a roller coaster ride. I recommend this book highly. ... show more

    • A sweet passion filled read.
This was such a fun romance to read. She is so fiery and independent that she has no prob!em putting this alpha male in place from time to time. He really is sweet in not being able to resist her but so bewildered as to why? It is just so cute. When insults and mistrust fly she has no problem telling him the truth and in the end he has no trouble admitting he was wrong. But the dog, Puggle does steal a little bit of the limelight. Isla and Alissandru was perfectly matched. I like how Ms Graham portrayed Isla as a strong-willed person and not her usual down and out poor character.

    • Lovely - Definitely a reread!
Really enjoyed this story. H wasn’t a doormat but wasn’t an unforgiving shrew either. Wasn’t constantly throwing up the H’s mistakes, of which he made several, at every turn. And although he was arrogant, he was also able to not be mean, and condescending. Very nice story AND the HEA was awesome.

This is vintage LG, with perhaps a 'better' (relatively speaking- only in terms of LG's other storirs) female lead. The alpha hero is the usual (but this time some of the description of his character, almost puts in mind mild autism… I wonder if LG intended it or …), but he is likeable enough. This story was great, very entertaining. I liked that it was light and without unnecessary angst. I loved both characters. He was so honest, but also quite insensitive. She was was just the best though. She called him out on his crap everytime.
