Everyday leading up to Christmas you get to open a new story book to read that night. 24 little books. Each one a Disney story. Gave these to multiple children from ages 2 to 7 and they all liked them. You can either read it to the little ones or have the older ones read it themselves. Stories aren't too long.     • It’s a tradition now! Grands love it!
My grandkids live in another state, so we don’t spend time together in person. But I have begun some little traditions around Christmas time for them, and the Disney Book Advent Calendar is how we start the holiday season off. This is the 3rd year of them receiving the calendar, to be followed with a shipment of Christmas themed pajamas and a package containing two huge gingerbread cookies with all the decorating icing and candies, kid sized aprons, hot chocolate bombs and new holiday mugs. In turn I receive videos and FaceTime experiences with them decorating their gingerbread men, or going to the new Disney Advent Book Calendar to get their nightly bedtime story. It’s the little things that mean so much to kids, it’s the little traditions they recall, and the time they get to spend with their parents before bed reading the stories that Mimi sent. Those little things Disney seems to know are very important. Thank you for helping me start, and continue this precious tradition, even when I can’t physically be there, I am there with them when they listen to the Disney stories. ... show more

I bought this for my two month old and myself. The stories were lots of fun to read! The books are paperback and the perfect size for little hands. I did find some of the stories are the same as in the Disney 5 minute Christmas storybook I also bought.

    • Great alternative to chocolate- can become a keepsake
This is a terrific Advent calendar for children 4-10. Younger ones will have to have the books read to them. It will last many years- sturdily made. Be aware it is quite large, like many other Advent calendars that have building sets in them. It is relatively flat, however. I think my 7 & 3 year old grandsons will enjoy it. ... show more

    • New holiday tradition for family!
It’s been literally hell to get our youngest interested in reading. I think she would rather become feral and live in the woods. We ordered this and wanted to do something as a family. We rotated who would read each night and after a few times, she asked if she could read for us and have more turns!!! This kickstartered her love for reading! Since then and she’s been reading a lot more ( granted it hasn’t been too lobg), she’s been able to improve her reading score at school. It used to be a huge concern of ours ... show more
