    • It’s a tradition now! Grands love it!
Format: Calendar
My grandkids live in another state, so we don’t spend time together in person. But I have begun some little traditions around Christmas time for them, and the Disney Book Advent Calendar is how we start the holiday season off. This is the 3rd year of them receiving the calendar, to be followed with a shipment of Christmas themed pajamas and a package containing two huge gingerbread cookies with all the decorating icing and candies, kid sized aprons, hot chocolate bombs and new holiday mugs. In turn I receive videos and FaceTime experiences with them decorating their gingerbread men, or going to the new Disney Advent Book Calendar to get their nightly bedtime story. It’s the little things that mean so much to kids, it’s the little traditions they recall, and the time they get to spend with their parents before bed reading the stories that Mimi sent. Those little things Disney seems to know are very important. Thank you for helping me start, and continue this precious tradition, even when I can’t physically be there, I am there with them when they listen to the Disney stories. ... show more

    • Stories for Christmas time
Format: Calendar
Every year, we do advent calendars to count down to Christmas. While this does not at all fit the liturgical calendar, we love reading a new story each night at bedtime. They are short, cute and fun, usually with happy endings, lessons about giving or friendship, or plain joyful romps of the season. Really fun way to count down to Christmas and read together as a family. 7yo loves finding the numbers each day. ... show more

    • Wonderful Fun Advent Calendar
Format: Calendar
Everyday leading up to Christmas you get to open a new story book to read that night. 24 little books. Each one a Disney story. Gave these to multiple children from ages 2 to 7 and they all liked them. You can either read it to the little ones or have the older ones read it themselves. Stories aren't too long. Nice colorful pictures in the Disney tradition. Very happy with this purchase. ... show more

This advent calendar is very cute! It is a lot bigger than I expected, which is nice. The advent book itself is 21.25 inches tall and 14 inches wide and the books are 4.75 inches tall and 3.9 inches wide. The advent book seems very sturdy. There is a small flaw in the fold of the book, which really isn’t a big deal as it doesn’t affect the functionality of the book and is barely noticeable. The story books themselves are longer stories than I expected which I am happy about. They are a little delicate and won’t last with little kids. The only aspect that is disappointing is that there is a focus more of the classics for example: Dumbo, Pinocchio, 101 Dalmatians, Winnie the Pooh, Robin Hood and more. My kids don’t even know some of the characters. They could have had a book for Beauty and the Beast story, Tangled, Frozen, Luca and more. ... show more

    • The best holiday tradition
Format: Calendar
This is the 5th year that I bought this advent calendar for my nieces and nephew. It is one of their favorite holiday traditions and ask me when their new one is coming every year. Pro tip, before I give it to the kids I write the name of which child is responsible for opening the book that night on the wrapping so there will be no arguments and every child opens the same number of books. Their mom loves that this calendar does not involve chocolate and will engage all 3 kids. I can not recommend this calendar enough! ... show more

    • New holiday tradition for family!
Format: Calendar
It’s been literally hell to get our youngest interested in reading. I think she would rather become feral and live in the woods. We ordered this and wanted to do something as a family. We rotated who would read each night and after a few times, she asked if she could read for us and have more turns!!! This kickstartered her love for reading! Since then and she’s been reading a lot more ( granted it hasn’t been too lobg), she’s been able to improve her reading score at school. It used to be a huge concern of ours ... show more

    • My grandson is enjoying the stories.
Format: Calendar
We took our grandson to Disney for his very first vacation this year. He met several of the characters so the timing of giving him the books was perfect.
