It was very fitted around the hips and bum, but the waist area had an awkwardly wide band and could have been more fitted. Size down if you want a tight fit! I ended up returning this because I wanted a cute and modest skirt to wear in hot weather, but this was too long / too much material. I could tell I would be very hot wearing it in the summer heat because there isn't much airflow. It would have been perfect if it hit right above the knees. ... show more

The skirt generally is great. The outward appearance is great, but the design wasn't at all for me. When I purchased it, there was only the forward facing photo for comparison. You don't see the backside of the design, which has a big seam down the backside that gives this skirt a sporty look. That's not for me so I returned it immediately. The fit was great and was accurate to the size chart. Had they uploaded more promo photos in this listing I would've never ordered it. Pros: This skirt is super comfy and looks cute on. I ordered a large after reading reviews, and it fits perfectly with some wiggle room. Opinion: This skirt can be worn as every day casual, but it is a huge stretch to say that it can be “dressed up,” it wouldn’t fly as work-casual in my office. It is clearly made from the same cloth as their yoga pants. I own a pair and it has the same seam placement, fit, and fabric. It basically looks like yoga pants in skirt form. Cons: The black is not a true black, it’s more of an off-black or faded black if color matters. It does hike up a bit when walking and the waistband is weirdly wide but it wasn’t a deal-breaker. I would not repurchase this item because I needed it for work. Do not buy if you are planning on wearing it to a wedding, church, nice dinner, work or anywhere that super casual body-con is inappropriate. Bright side: I passed it on to my pregnant niece and she absolutely loves it as a maternity/new mommy skirt. It’s her everyday go-to outfit.
