    • Great Resin for Intermediate to Experienced Users
This resin is not for beginners, although with some trial and error it can be beginner friendly. This is a fast set resin. It has a clear glossy finish, no bubbles, and partially cures in 4-6 hours (depending on your environment). A little goes a long way and when cured it is light weight. Some resin is heavy and after 3 coats your tumbler will be heavy. This is not so with this one. I will say it did get hot on me one time due to the temp in my room above 80 degrees. In my experience with resin, fast cure resin does not like hot rooms. I also used for key chains and glass projects, and it did well. Here are some tips based on my experience with this resin: Do not use if you need more than 20-30 minutes work time. Do not mix more than one batch at a time. Mix prior to each project. Keep room between 74 - 78 degrees. Do not use a lot of acrylic paint when coloring, resin will be flexible. Always remember, fast cure still needs 24-48 hours to cure despite what the manufacturer says. Allowing time to fully cure make your projects scratch free. ... show more

This the best epoxy for tumblers. It looks yellow in the jugs but it isn’t yellow. I do pure white cups and there isn’t a yellow tint. It’s very glossy. I will be buying again. It’s pricey but it last a long time

    • Best resin for tumblers
Used this on a tumbler and it worked amazing. It is thicker than craft resin so it stays on the tumbler better and levels out more evenly. I mixed it too fast and didn't use a heat gun but the bubbles were tiny. I did not detect a smell at all. For the small amount I use per tumbler this a good value for the money. Easy to use, especially if you heat up the components before mixing. Tried it both ways (with and without heat) and no issues with coverage or bubbles. Great clear glossy finish! My tumblers looked great after!

There is nothing to dislike about this epoxy it is wonderful the first coat looks like glass after it cured. I have tried a couple of different epoxies and this one came recommended from a show that I watch. I purchased a gallon because you cannot beat the price and I'm very happy that I did. I do Tumbler cups and the cup I posted still needs two more coats I'm sure the second and third coat will go on just as flawlessly as the first coat as I add more glitter to hide the wires on my cup. It has a very low odor and next to no bubbles and if I get a couple of bubbles I just use a squirt of 91% alcohol as I'm not a big fan of torching my resin. I started using this product about 2 years ago and it was great. Then I noticed in the last year that the Hardener was yellowing really quickly. At first I thought it was a bad batch, things happen. So I reordered. It happened again and again and again. Then I notices that some of the cups I made having a yellow tint to them within a year of making them. The last batch that I bought was in Dec 23. It is Feb 24 and it is already starting to yellow. I also noticed that some of my cups are staying tacky. Even when mixed properly( i tried over and over and over again thinking it was me, it wasn't. It's the resin). I've made hundreds of cups over the years and I have experienced quite a few issues with this resin. I wouldn't encourage anyone to get this resin unless you are just starting and wanting to test the waters. ... show more

I been doing tumblers for about three or four years and had only used one brand of resin who got bought out by another company and the resin was not the same so I set out to find a new brand to use for my tumblers. After buying 4 different gallons of resin from some big name companies and some no name companies, I came across yours. The other brands I had tried all have pretty good reviews. Every single one failed me by dimpling, separating and would not flow around the tumblers. I was beginning to think I was never going to be making anymore tumblers (and have stocked up 100's of them hedging against higher prices in the future) and in one last act of desperation, I searched again for an epoxy that might work. I found your brand (even though Epoxy is spelled incorrectly in your listing - "The Epoxt Resin Store") and thought "last time I am buying anymore resin". You have restored my faith in my ability to make tumblers! Thank you and please do not change the formula for your "Tumbler Resin"! In the first photo you can actually see the reflection of my hand on it as the finish is just like glass! So glad I gave you a try :) ... show more
