I got these beautiful shorts for my granddaughter, who loves the roomier, more flowy style of these. I ordered an XXS, as she is very petite; and I'm glad I did, as these seem to run a little larger. She is still growing, so I hope she is able to wear them for a year or two, or even longer. The style is gorgeous, just the right mix of casual and dressy. She can pair them with tee shirts or button-downs, denim jackets or hoodies, and sneakers, sandals, flip-flops or dressier shoes. The fabric is so soft, and falls beautifully. She loves the feel of the shorts as much as the look. The one thing that really bothers her, and me, is that there are no back pockets! Everyone knows, you carry your phone in a back pocket (if you're young). For the price of these, back pockets should certainly have been included. If back pockets are not an issue for you, you will probably love these shorts.

Yet another win for The Drop! Such a nice quality fabric and style, these shorts fit like a dream. The color is a true olive khaki. They are a nice thickness, so they don't feel flimsy but also not heavy. There isn't really any stretch so make sure to reference the size chart when purchasing.

If you aren't familiar with Tencel, it is a variety of rayon but much more sustainable than "viscose" or even cotton. The fabric is light weight, breathable, drapey, and soft. The shorts are nicely made and suitable for dressier summer looks. The front pockets are roomy; the back pockets are fake- just the welts, no pocket bags. As a sewist myself, I do not understand this. The welt (decorative opening) is the most difficult part of a welt pocket to make, while the pocket bag is super easy. Why go to the trouble of constructing a beautiful welt and stop there? A couple inches of inexpensive fabric and stitching is all that's needed to make them functional! Alas, these are not, which is why I subtracted a star. Other than that, the shorts are nice and the olive green color I ordered is lovely. I selected size Medium and typically wear between a 6 and 8 in US women's sizes. These are perhaps a little looser fitting than I need but they aren't going to fall off of me. There is a little bit of elastic in the back waistband for extra stretch and should fit a US size 10 just fine. If you wear a size 6, I'd suggest going for the Small.

Let me start off with these shorts are so soft and feel so good next to the skin. They have a dressier look to them with the front pleats. Deep pockets holds phones easily. Now for the sad part. I'm a very large woman I usually wear a 3x. So that clothing isn't tight on me, I usually order 1 size larger so its a 4x. This pair of shorts I thought they might run small. I couldn't have been more wrong if I tried. I ordered the 5x and they were ginormous on me. If you could imagine a 10x, these could be that or even larger. I had my aunt who wears an 8 and myself in these shorts with the zipper closed and buttoned and we still had room left over. No I'm not kidding nor did I want a picture taken of us in them. We both laughed as we were not in our comfort zone. A little too close for us. What I'm trying to get at, these run HUGE. There is no way of taking them up so that they would begin to fit. If you order these shorts, take heed and don't go larger.

As others have pointed out, these shorts are big. You need to size down. My girlfriend is between a small and medium and the small just fits. She could probably use an extra small here. The shorts are well made and look nice. However, you need to wear them fairly high waisted and, even then, they tend to be a little on the long side. She will wear them for the right occasion but they are not the home run so many of The Drops other items are.

These pants are HUGE! I ordered according to their size chart, and I can probably fit my body in them 1 1/2 times....or close to that. I could have fit a pair that is at least 2 sizes down-which is a shame. Yes, I got them for free for reviewing them-but I still have to pay taxes on them. I resent having to pay a percentage of an item's cost when it's so far off in the description so as to make them unwearable. They're so large I can't even adjust them to fit-I'd have to totally tear them apart and start all over, which I'm not about to do. It's a total shame as they're otherwise very nice, soft shorts. I didn't see the other reviews before ordering these, or I probably would have passed on them since I have no idea which size would actually be the correct one, although my guess would be 2 sizes down from what their size chart indicates. They really need to go back and re-measure carefully, then fix the size chart. Maybe it's just the larger sizes that are crazy big; but I don't know that for sure since there were a few reviews stating the fit was great. Whatever the case, I don't recommend these unless they fix the sizing issue.

These are actually so cute in person. I'm petite, so I was worried that they might be too voluminous or the pleat might be weird. When I tried them on, however, I loved them! They fit true to size and the material and style make them look chic. The waist is nice and fitted with a button, so it adds a little tailoring. Because I'm looking at these like dressier shorts, maybe even ok for work, I'm not upset about the back pockets being fake. I think putting anything in the pockets would drag down the material anyway. Overall I like these! They are trendy and comfortable and a bit nicer looking than most of my casual shorts.
