The knife set is quality steel they'er sharp and work well. The only thing I am not thrilled with is there's no sheathing/leather rap or knife holder. I don't like to just throw a good knife set in a drawer to get bounced around.

These knives are really good but if you have never used it before than be careful when you use it. They are super sharp and can easily take you to hospital to get some stitches! I used it for the first time over confidently to cut the chicken and got knuckle of my finger cut pretty bad. Since I ordered the level 5 protection gloves. But that is what these knives are great at. Cutting meat, chicken would be much easy with these knives. Just wear proper gloves and you should be good! ... show more

Growing up, my family owned a fishing station on the east end of Long Island. The only knives we sold for cleaning and fileting fish were Dexters. Back then they had wooden handles....I still have several in my knife drawer and they continue to be my favorite knives. Super love the new synthetic handles and the blades have the same quality as the old ones......easily take on new edges when needed and stay sharp. NOTHING LIKE A DEXTER!!!! ... show more
