    • Great book for anyone considering buying a recent model Aston.
Loved the book. I was really impressed with the great detail on each model. A must read for anyone considering the purchase of a newer Aston. Only small quibble would be that the book should have been slightly larger, maybe just an inch or two. There is so much information packed on each page that the small size makes it a bit difficult to read. I have good eyesight, but still want to reach for a magnifying glass to read some of the information that sometimes appears in boxes with a smaller font. It is also in need of better proof reading. There are quite a few typos, and random commas appearing where they shouldn't, and missing where they should. I've also noticed a few paragraph indents in the middle of a sentence and other various formatting errors. Nothing too distracting, though. I still give it five stars because I don't really care that much about little annoyances because the information in this book is so good and is what is important to an Aston enthusiast. I appreciate the time and effort involved in producing such a book that will most certainly have a small and defined audience. Also, I received my copy very quickly. The estimated delivery date was a range from about a month to six weeks. Mine arrived in my mailbox in eight days, and arrived in perfect condition. Very pleased. ... show more

I have owned a couple Aston Martins now, pre Gaydon and Gaydon era. I have also bought a bunch of books on Astons. If you are looking for details about Gaydon era models (Vantage, DB9, DBS, Virage, Rapide) that your dealer may not even have, that are balanced (pro and con) and cover absolutely every aspect of the cars down to the options and features of the one for month in a particular year your car was produced, then this is the book for you. I have not been able to put it down since I got it and have read every line in it a few times now. It is not just the best book about these particular Astons, but the best compendium of important details on any car I have come accross and I own a "lot" of car books. It is a must have for any owner of the cars it covers, particularly the Vantage. It is laid out logically, starting with chapters on the engine (for each of the Vantage, DB9, DBS etc), then one on chassis, suspension, interior, etc; then after all that you get chapters on individual models, then on options, special editions, upgrades, even well known after market shops. Then you get detailed buying tips for PPI's etc. No stone is left unturned. ... show more

This book will either help you decide to buy or not buy an Aston Martin. There is enough information to give you the answers you are looking for related to all the models and model years. The author seems to be quite honest with out being overly partial to AM, but being a fair review from a AM fan. I have read the complaints about the size of the book being small but it was not that big of a deal with me. However, if the book had a larger format the pictures would be bigger so you could see more detail. ... show more
