But when she persuaded her partner, Detective John Stone, to take this as their next cold case, he was anything but prepared for the passion with which she would then pursue that investigation–an investigation that would take them from the Bronx to Iowa, and then Arizona and the Mexican border, with layers of dark secrets that would ultimately bring them face to face with Sinaloa’s most ruthless Sicario, testing their relationship to the very limit. • Thanks Blake
Thank you for keeping me entertained for awhile in this mixed up world. Your characters are smart, tough and tender all at the same time.

  • Better and better
I was worried after the first four books that if Stone and Dehan got together, the stories might suffer. So glad Mr.Banner didn't do that to us. The stories continue to get better and better in my eyes. Quick! Read them all ASAP!

  • Entertaining and fun books!
Fun books and the audio is great! I binged on these for days and finally got burned out by book 20. There’s a few more out there and I’ll get to them after a short break. Once in a while I think that the female detective needs a change in career. Obvious details leave her stumped. Still a fun series that is worth buying. Enjoy!!! ... show more

  • worth the read
A few months ago I got the first set of books. I honestly thought it was another genre so I didn’t start reading right away. On a whim I started the first story and I really liked the characters. One story led to another and now I’m starting #25. I haven’t turned on my tv in weeks.

  • Hmmm
Still have lots of typos. My biggest pet peeve is when the sentence has the wrong character in it. Example: the sentence is "let's go talk to petro v and bernstein" when the sentence should read, " let's go talk to petrov and olson".
