I like this meter overall. The display is one of the better that I've used, the accuracy is good and the strips only require a pretty small sample for testing. The price for the strips online are a decent value, and are available locally as well (but some of the prices locally are absolutely way over-priced, like 300% markup, no joke). I don't like that the strips are more difficult to insert into the meter than others I've tried, and they are harder to remove as well. The lancing device is okay too, but it has no eject to remove the lancets after use which would be a very easy feature to adopt. Same with the strips in the meter, no eject feature after use. I'd recommend it overall over most of the other meters here, but those missing features would make it even better. ... show more

I was recently diagnosed with having diabetes and my doctor advised me to get a glucose meter. He said that my insurance should cover the cast for the meter and I'd have a copay when I needed the strips. I called my pharmacy and told them the glucose meter that my insurance would provide and inquired about the cost for the strips. I was floored that the specific strips that one used would cost me a $65 monthly copay. I decided I didn't want that so called "free" meter and after doing some research purchased this one. It is accurate and the strips are less than a third of the price of the "free" meter. Easy decision and I recommend this meter because it is easy to read and it also has a memory of your blood glucose reading and keeps track if you just ate or were fasting before taking the test. I just bring this to the doctor with me and he scrolls thru the memory and it provides all the data he needs. ... show more

This monitor is really easy to use, it’s super user friendly, I set it up in about 2 mins. The instructions are straight forward and easy to follow.
