The kids don't take my word for everything and we do a lot of science experiments. This way, we all know our blood types for sure AND we have a handy card just in case! I suppose it could also double as a portable DNA kit if a loved one goes missing. We also have our fingerprints from an at home kit (the ones LE do for kids usually go into the system) just in case something nefarious befalls one of us (I live in an area of the country where they find people under home renovations miles from where they were last seen, people just disappear, and all sorts of random freaky stuff happens...country life isn't as quaint as it seems). Also, it's just a good general rule of thumb to keep your biometrics to yourself. Don't give them to your electronics or anyone else. ... show more

After reading the reviews, I was nervous that it might be difficult to do these tests (especially when Physicians were saying it was hard for them to understand the instructions). But when I got the kits, I saw each packet had a QR Code printed on it for a video on how to do the tests. It was super EASY to follow and it saved a lot of headaches. I did the first test on myself, since I already knew my blood type. Once that came back accurate, I quickly did the rest of my family. When poking the finger of family members, use a medium amount of pressure before clicking the button (not too hard or too soft). When I didn’t use pressure, it was hard for me to extract blood from the prick… when I used too much pressure, it resulted in too much blood droplets. I am glad we did these tests and now we all know our blood types!! ... show more
