Backyard Chickens I am working towards my first experience with laying chickens and I’ve been so overwhelmed on where to begin. This book gave me clear and concise insight from choosing chicks and their care through adulthood (including all aspects of their behaviors). I enjoyed the effective planning and budgeting section of this book as well as the impact that climate has on your flock. Knowing how to plan and choose breeds wisely (A detailed climate description) was amazing for me as a novice. And “who knew”motion detection lighting would help ward off predators.
