In this exclusive authorized edition from the Queen of Mystery, Hercule Poirot investigates the strange case of a corpse surrounded by numerous timepieces in a blind woman’s house.Sheila Webb expected to find a respectable blind lady waiting for her at 19 Wilbraham Crescent—not the body of a middle-aged man sprawled across the living room floor. But when old Miss Pebmarsh denies sending for her in the first place, or of owning all the clocks that surround the body, it’s clear that they are going to need a very good detective.“This crime is so complicated that it must be quite simple,” declares Poirot. But there’s a murderer on the loose, and time is ticking away.… Read more

  • A compelling read!
I’m a lifelong fan and this book does not disappoint. I had no idea where the guilt lay until the ending.

  • Great price, delivered overnight.
Format: Paperback
Only four stars because I haven’t read it yet. But I have read this story about 40 years ago😆😆 I ordered it because I remembered how much I enjoyed reading Agatha Christie’s “Clock’s” unfortunately for me, my brother borrowed it and never returned it. Love Agatha Christie! Great price point as well.

  • Always the best!
There's a good reason Christie is called the queen regarding mystery stories. Full of red herring and plot twists. You won't be sorry for reading The Clocks!

  • a disappointment
Format: Paperback
I've been reading Agatha Christie for most of my life and usually love them, but this one was a disappointment. Poirot has little interaction with the main actors in the story. The story itself is kind of mechanical, and the motivation for the crimes isn't convincing to me. I recommend looking for something earlier in Christie's career. ... show more

  • The master makes everything fit, like clockwork
Style and flash come together in this tale of a simple crime with many distractions. And yet, not so simple after all. Greed is a motive and then the necessity of hiding identities- even that of the dead man. Of course, more murders were necessary and more details were piled on but there were too many of them. Details can be checked. And more murders add up to a circle where experiences intersect. ... show more

  • A Great Read
I had not read this before. Except for a few places with adult language, it was perfect. It is worth five stars.

  • Entertaining mystery listening 🌃🎶
Format: Kindle
This kindle ebook novel was free from Amazon A man is murdered in a house while the blind woman is out. Then a woman is murdered and another woman in the underground station. Hercule Poitor shows up late in the story. 😎🎧 I would recommend this series and author to fans of Agatha Christie and British mystery novels 🏡👀 2025 🐕😊 ... show more

  • The Dame Strikes Again!
The Clocks is one of my favorite episodes from the TV series. As I have learned, that with the liberties they take in production, things get lost in translation. The Clocks is a page turner. Not much Poirot, but he looms large as ever.
