    • Neat but not a real claw machine.

So Santa got this for my kid. This thing is pretty cool but don’t expect great things from it. First I was lucky on the shipping. It got a label slapped on its box and shipped as is. I was lucky I saw it before the kid did and it was not broken during shipping. The unpacking was normal except the claw is zip tied with no real access to cut it free. Had to be careful. The opening to put stuff in is very small. Even my kids hands don’t fit into the opening. Be mindful of what u put in it. The claw can only pick up small light objects and there is a learning curve to open and close the claw. It does not work like the real claw machines. It also does not return to drop the items like a real machine. You have to control that also. Mine has a issue with one of the safety stop switches that gets stuck. When it sticks the claw will not move and acts like it’s broken. I found a tap in the area of the switch will free the button and it works again. I would love to try and fix it but there is no way to open it up. In all it’s the closes u can get to a claw machine without spending a ton of money. Just understand this is a cheap toy and not a real claw machine. I don’t expect this thing to have a long lifespan. ... show more

Kids love it! I have to say that it is LOUD. It's constant circus music. We can hear it loud and clear from across the house... Please make this with a mute or volume control!

The media could not be loaded. Plays circus music and lights on the outside of the machine and my kiddo’s love it. Fun toy.

Our nieces also have a claw machine, this one seems to be built better and is easier to use, though this one was $25 more. This one has more options and more mobility with the claw allowing you to work the machine easier with children. Plastic also seems slightly more sturdy. This also accepts real change to play, which the kids think is awesome. Comes with fake coins as well. Our Daughter was very excited to receive this a s a Christmas gift. Prizes much larger than a full size plastic egg or a matchbox car do not work very well in this machine due to the 4" x 4" prize hole and the amount of space the claw has to operate. Maybe you can get away with a few Happy Meal size beanie baby stuffed animals on top of smaller, prizes and candy, but the fewer the large prizes in the case, the more usable the claw is. Daughter *begged* me for a claw machine, so I bought this one for her for Christmas. The machine itself is working OK...all of the controls and the claw itself seem to work fine (so far) and she is having a lot of fun with it. It came with a very limited number of small plush toys (about 4 or 5...I didn't count) that are just a bit too large to fit easily into the chute if she is able to grab them with the claw, so she has to put her hand up into the hole to get the toy out. Good thing I had supplemented with a bag of smaller toys to fill the machine. HOWEVER: The "authentic arcade sound" is actually that stereotypical God-awful carnival music that cannot be muted, volume cannot be adjusted, and it speeds up as time runs out making it the stuff of nightmares for parents to endure. I make her take it all the way down to the basement if she wants to play with it. So, I can only give this 3 stars. Unit is working great, but it needs to have the feature to turn the horrible carny music off! ... show more

The toy is quite fun for children in the range of 7-12 and though older people may appreciate it, the size of it versus arcade claw games takes away some of its lustre. Smaller children would likely have trouble figuring out the 3 different control levers. It also is quite loud, and this particular option does not have a volume control knob or switch which is something to be aware of. We ended up putting clear tape over the speaker to make it quieter such that it would be possible for other people to do things around the house while the kids were playing. Another thing to be careful of is losing the coins it comes with, we were not able to make it work with quarters, they were too thin to properly activate the machine.
